We’ll start the list with industries that have been hurt by Miller’s exporting OUT cheap immigrant labor….
I’m sure Democrats in Congress are NOT happy with Miller either….
Trump’s ‘In tyour face’ has cost Republicans dearly….
(Immigration raids are NOT popular to most Americans these days)
This is probably is gonna cost Trump’s party More….
But then?
Donald REALLY doesn’t give a Shit about the party , eh?
It’s about him……
As MAGA celebrated Stephen Miller’s promotion from deputy to chief of staff in President Donald Trump’s White House, Democrats, liberals, and even some Republicans warned: “Everything is going to get worse.”
In a remarkable and historic week for American politics, Trump and the GOP saw their control of Congress crumble as voters flipped the House and the Senate blue in the midterm elections. Democrats also made major gains in state legislatures, handing them power not seen in some parts of the nation for decades.
Many understood it as a rebuke of Trump and his administration’s handling of a volatile and expensive war in Iran, and a rejection of the president’s aggressive deportation campaign – designed and executed by Miller. With the ouster of chief of staff Susie Wiles, Miller – a man whose uncle has publicly told of his “dismay and horror” over his nephew’s ideology that some have labeled “Nazi” or xenophobic – has been elevated to an even more powerful position in the final two years of Trump’s presidency….
…
“Naming Stephen Miller chief of staff is like looking at a five-alarm fire and deciding the problem is a shortage of gasoline,” commented attorney Andrew Weinstein, a former U.S. delegate to the United Nations.
Author Don Winslow said that elevating Miller to chief of staff was “a defiant act of war that will deliver more hate, horror and racism.”
“If you believe Schumer+Jeffries can fight a war against Trump/Miller you are blind, deaf, dumb & staggeringly ignorant to the past two years,” he added.
“So with Stephen Miller, Trump has officially moved into the Bunker Stage of his Reich,” quipped liberal commentator Keith Olbermann…..
…
“When I got a text message, ‘Hey, have you heard about Stephen Miller?,’ my first thought was: Thank goodness he was let go,” said Chris Herr, president of PennAg Industries Association, which represents farmers and pork and poultry producers. Many of his members helped propel Trump to victory in 2024 but have soured on the president, as some farmers reel from the loss of workers to immigration enforcement, he said.
“The wild card now is what is the president going to do?” Herr said. “Is he going to be engaged, or is the Stephen Miller policy going to rule the day?”
Last month, more than 40 farmers and agricultural industry groups wrote to Trump and congressional leaders, warning that the immigration crackdown was hitting the nation’s food supply, hurting farmers and risking higher grocery prices. The letter marked a strategy shift for an industry that had been reluctant to publicly criticize the immigration raids, preferring to lobby the administration behind the scenes. About 66 percent of the country’s farmworkers are foreign-born.
“Time will tell if Stephen Miller continues to wreck the economy, destroy families, tarnish the Republican political coalition and obliterate Trump’s legacy,” said Rebecca Shi, chief executive of the American Business Immigration Coalition, a bipartisan group that lobbies for immigration reform on Capitol Hill, which organized the letter.
For months, immigration raids have targeted construction sites across South Texas, resulting in significant project delays and labor shortages that helped deliver Democrats historic victories up and down the ballot in the Lone Star State this week….
…
“Doubling down on Miller to the extent that he has been the promoter of mass-deportation tactics doesn’t fit the results that we saw in Kansas on Tuesday,” he added.
Rural counties and small cities in Kansas swung 20 points toward Democrats on Tuesday, helping elect the first Democrat to the Senate since 1932…..
Note….
Miller’s efforts probably have a LOT to do with Republican loses in Kansas , Iowa and Texas ….
Donald doesn’t REALLY care one would think…..
I still think Miller and Hegseth are on borrowed time working for Trump ‘s admin…
