His parties Congress have been willing accomplishments….
We’ll see how this hakes out going forward…..
Democrats seized control of the Senate on Tuesday night, as voters delivered a thorough rebuke to President Trump and handed the party victories in places long considered Republican strongholds. Democrats flipped Senate seats in Iowa, Kansas, Ohio, North Carolina, South Carolina and even Texas, according to The Associated Press, and were in a strong position to take control of the House as they scored victories up and down the ballot.
Mr. Trump told The New York Times in an interview that he was “absolutely willing to accept those results” and was prepared to work with Democrats. “We’ll, you know, look forward to working with them,” he said. “We’ll probably work something out.”
In a night shaping up as a Democratic rout, the biggest victories came in Texas, a state where the party had not won a statewide election since 1998. James Talarico, a state legislator who became a national fund-raising sensation, toppled Ken Paxton, the scandal-ridden Republican state attorney general whom Mr. Trump elevated to the nomination in the spring. And Gina Hinojosa became the first Texas Democrat elected governor since Ann Richards in 1990, by ousting Gov. Greg Abbott, a three-term Republican.
The results came in a midterm election that is the first national mandate on Mr. Trump’s second term. They showed what polls have indicated for months — that voters are supremely dissatisfied with Mr. Trump and Republicans who have backed his agenda.
In South Carolina, The New York Times projected that Annie Andrews, the Democrat running for Senate, would prevail over Senator Darline Graham, the sister of the late Senator Lindsey Graham. Democrats also flipped the Senate seat in North Carolina and House seats in Pennsylvania, Kentucky, New Jersey and North Carolina.
Republicans’ redistricting effort appears to have failed to yield the sweeping victories in House races that they intended. Democrats won districts in Florida that Republicans redrew to be favorable for themselves, and the North Carolina seat Democrats flipped was also part of the Republican redistricting effort.
In Georgia, Keisha Lance Bottoms, the former Atlanta mayor, became the first Black woman to be elected governor in the country’s history. She is the first Democrat elected to lead the state since 1998.
Democratic candidates have blamed Mr. Trump, and the war he started this year in Iran, for the economic hardships that have driven a current of frustration across the nation. Republicans have focused on portraying their Democratic opponents as extreme on social issues and the economy as they played defense in reliably red states.
Republicans fended off a significant challenge in a Senate race in Florida: Senator Ashley Moody defeated Angie Nixon, a progressive Democrat, in a tight contest to complete the term of Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
The last polling places will not close until 1 a.m. Eastern on Wednesday, in Alaska. Full results won’t be known until well into the evening — and maybe not for days or longer, particularly if many of the races are close — but it’s clear that voters were eager to have their say. Turnout appeared strong across the country, as millions of people cast votes that will deliver a verdict on an unpopular president who has implored the country to act as if he were on the ballot…..
Note...
Final Results won’t be available for a few….
What has to be troubling to Republicans is loses in Red state’s….
Again….
Economic’s and Immigration Policy Trump played to his base….
But the results of his policies seem to have fractured and llienated that base…..
Republicans , Not Trump, he’s incapable ….
Have some soul seraching to do…
They CANNOT run on Trump in the 2028 General Election and does THAT doom a JD Vance GOP Presidential nomination?
Finally?
It appears that the 2026 Midterm Election Voting has happended without any MAJOR problems bedsides the typical ones and that truew to the US Constitution?
The States hold general elections…..
They do NOT need or want interferance from a President that tried to strop another election from being certified….
Breaking
Democrat Troy Jackson, a former president of the Maine Senate, has defeated Sen. Susan Collins (R) in Maine, ending her three-decade tenure in the Senate by arguing that she did not do enough to stand up to President Donald Trump, who is deeply unpopular in the blue state.
Collins distanced herself from Trump on the trail and leaned on her record steering millions of dollars back to her home state as chair of the Appropriations Committee.
