Trump Plan to pull Tens of Thousands US Troops FROM Europe?

“The Pentagon is weighing a drastic plan to pull planes, ships, weapons and tens of thousands of U.S. troops from Europe, despite warnings from NATO allies about the growing threat of Russian aggression,” NBC News reports.

“The reduction could be roughly one-third of all U.S. troops in Europe, or roughly 25,000. One U.S. official and another person with knowledge of the deliberations say it could be even larger — as much as half, or up to 40,000 troops.”

“If carried out, it would be the most significant scaling back of the 80,000-strong U.S. military presence in Europe since the aftermath of the Cold War in the 1990s.”

Trump says US making ‘major progress’ in opening Army base in Poland

President Trump announced Thursday that the U.S. is making “major progress” in establishing its own Army base in Poland.

“If this happens, the location will be announced very soon. This will be a historic step for our Great U.S./Polish Alliance,” the president said in a Truth Social post, which also praised the “bold” leadership of Polish President Karol Nawrocki.

The Polish defense minister is set to meet with Hegseth again at the Pentagon, where the two are planning to discuss potential Russian threats on NATO’s eastern flank, central European country security and a proposed PAC-3 missile service center, according to Polish broadcaster Polsat News.

Earlier this year, the Pentagon paused the long-planned deployment of 4,000 service members to Poland, prompting deep frustration and concern from lawmakers in both parties who support a strong NATO alliance.

The announcement comes as the Pentagon is conducting a Europe posture review, overseen in consultations with NATO allies and Congress. The assessment is slated to be completed in December…..
