Texas IS the spotlight……
The midterm elections officially begin on Tuesday with primaries in Texas, North Carolina and Arkansas. As war with Iran breaks out, Democrats and Republicans are figuring out who they want to lead their party into November’s general election, when control of Congress and statehouses around the country will be up for grabs.
The most hotly contested races of the day are in Texas, with fierce competition on both sides of the aisle for U.S. Senate nominations. It’s possible that the Republican campaign will continue into a runoff…..

People online are claiming that the early returns bode very well for Talarico.
I assume we all hope that turns out to be correct.
Sean Hannity just expressed his hope that Jasmine Crockett win the Texas Democratic primary.
With an endorsement like that …
If she can unite Kamala and Hannity…
However, looks like Talarico may take the W tonight. I expect of course that Crockett will graciously concede, while Republicans head to a nasty runoff0, and pledge her full support to her former opponent in the general election.
Crockett is already saying tonight though that she will sue to keep the polls open, presumably until she wins.
MAGA is celebrating the apparent end of the Congressional career of Dan Crenshaw in Texas, a one-time rising Republican political star. They call him “Eyepatch McCain” and have claimed for several years that he is too “pro-war.” How ironic.
It also looks like Al Green will be defeated in Texas in his race against a recently elected Democrat from a neighboring district.
For now, Valerie Foushee is holding on in North Carolina and scandal plagued Republican Tony Gonzales is likely headed to a runoff in Texas.
