Anybody that ‘Thought’ there was gonna be a ‘Deal’ was on bad drugs……
It IS the view of this dog that the Russian President IS in a BAD spot….
Again?
It has been FOUR Years of the war/conflict and Putin can’t claim even 20% of the Ukraine….
His economy is going in the toilet due to the fight and the Ukraine blowing up it’s oil/(Money) assets…
The Russian army HAS been holding on because it sends it’s ‘troops’ to fight without weapons in ‘meat run’ against Ukraine ARMED troops and drone’s….
Vladimir Putin REALLY can’t sign of ANYTHING unless he can present to himself and people that his ‘dream’ to bring back the old Soviet Union advance one steep even if it’s small one…
(It’s been said he wants the WHOLE Donbas regions of Donetsk and Luhansk to go with keeping Crimea)
Europe and NATO ARE right that most likely any cease fire will just allow Russia to regroup and attack Ukraine, Moldavia or even Poland in a year or two….
The Russian leader started this….
It IS his self that will probably suffer it it stops……
By-the Way?
Trump Foreign Policy effort’s ARE amateurish in this case and in the Middle East….
The whispers ARE that his end goal is just to secure MONEY for his family and himself….
(Reports below are of Trump admin slow down in weaposn for Ukraine and communication between Germany and the Pentagon)
Nothing More…..
Nothing Less….
Sending Trump’s son to today’s meeting was useless for the Ukraine, but who knows what side financial deal’s could have been discussed?
The Kremlin’s top foreign policy aide called Tuesday’s talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff “useful” but said “no compromise plan” has been found yet following the hourslong meeting in Moscow.
“There is still a lot of work to be done,” the aide, Yury Ushakov, told reporters following the meeting.
According to Ushakov, who attended the meeting along with President Donald Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, Putin told the Americans that Russia could agree with some parts of the U.S. plan but disagreed with others.
“The president did not hide our critical and even negative attitude towards a number of proposals,” Ushakov said.
Russia expressed a readiness to keep negotiating, with Ushakov calling territorial issues the “most important issue.” Ushakov said that no meeting was currently planned between Putin and Trump, and that such a meeting would depend on progress on reaching a peace settlement….
…
A Ukrainian source with knowledge of the talks told ABC News that the Ukrainian side had expected Putin to say, “Yes, but…” and that “that is exactly what happened.”
“Now the question is what exactly the ‘but’ is, and how the Americans will respond,” the source added….
…
Prior to the meeting, Putin warned that Russia is ready to fight a war if Europe seeks one and claimed European countries are trying to make changes in Trump’s proposal on ending Russia’s war against Ukraine….
…
There was little expectation Putin would agree to a deal. The Russian leader signaled last week he would not compromise, repeating in hardline remarks his demand that Ukraine withdraw from territory he claims as Russian soil and saying it was “pointless” to negotiate with Zelenskyy…
