First it was last weeks Labor Dept. Report that expert’s had trouble with….
Now?
We have a Trump Commerce report that Corporate profits are Up?
Read between the lines people?
Donald Trump IS helping business take MORE of YOUR money….
A BOOMING Economy?
YOU ARE SPENDING MORE MONEY ON RISING PRICES….
That HAS a name ….
INFLATION…
For the Vast majority of Americans closing in on Christmas ….
And I’ll bet your credit card company RAISED your spending limit, eh?
Trump’s Commerce Dept. ADMITS Consumer Prices ARE HIGHER…
The U.S. economy expanded at an annual rate of 4.3 percent during the third quarter, blowing past the expectations of economists and delivering a boost to President Donald Trump as he seeks to reverse his flagging approval ratings.
The Commerce Department’s initial estimate of gross domestic product — which was significantly delayed due to the government shutdown — reported sharp increases in consumer spending, government spending and exports. Americans spent more on health care, recreational goods and nondurable products like prescription drugs.
Corporate profits also skyrocketed by more than $166 billion, up from the $6.8 billion increase reported during the previous quarter. The White House attributed the blowout report on GDP — which measures the value of goods and services produced in the U.S. — to private-sector growth.
“Virtually all year-to-date GDP growth is driven by the private sector in President Trump’s economy, unlike in Biden’s economy, where government spending was a major driver,” Trump’s Council of Economic Advisers said in a statement shortly after the report was released.
Trump and top administration officials say their policies will unlock the U.S. economy, ushering in a new golden age that will boost wages and generate new jobs for American workers. But while growth has surpassed expectations in consecutive quarters, those gains have failed to reverse an uptick in the jobless rate or strong payroll gains.
What’s more, while the economy has expanded, prices have continued to rise for consumers…
…
That has hurt Trump’s standing with voters. Just 33 percent of Americans approve of his economic stewardship, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll. Republicans were trounced in off-year elections in New Jersey, Virginia and Georgia last month, and the Trump administration has been trying to refocus the president’s messaging on affordability and cost-of-living issues….

Polling on the US Economy IS STILL Negitive
The poll also finds 24% of Americans satisfied and 74% dissatisfied with the way things are going in the country, which is unchanged from November but more negative than all other readings since January. As recently as May, 38% of U.S. adults were satisfied. Satisfaction levels remain slightly higher than at the end of the Biden administration.
Declining satisfaction has coincided with worsening views of the economy in recent months. Gallup’s Economic Confidence Index currently sits at -33, which is down 10 points from October and 19 points from June, and is the lowest it has been since registering -35 in July 2024. The index summarizes Americans’ evaluations of current economic conditions and their perceptions of whether the economy is getting better or getting worse. It has a theoretical range of -100 to +100.
Nearly half of U.S. adults (47%) now describe current economic conditions as “poor,” up from 40% in November and the highest since September 2024. Just 21% believe economic conditions are either “excellent” or “good,” while another 31% describe them as “only fair.”
Meanwhile, 68% say economic conditions are getting worse, compared with 29% who say better. Americans have consistently been more pessimistic than optimistic about the economy’s direction in recent years, but the current figures represent a deterioration from earlier this year. In May, 58% thought the economy was getting worse and 37% thought it was improving.
Consistent with those worsening economic evaluations, Americans are more inclined to name economic issues as the most important problem facing the country….
…
Most Americans…President Trump IS NOT doing a good job…
Four in 10 Americans say Trump can bring about changes the country needs, while 39% think he can manage the government effectively. Just over one-third of Americans believe Trump keeps his promises (37%), puts the country’s interests ahead of his own (35%) or cares about the needs of people like them (34%). Only 30% of U.S. adults view Trump as honest and trustworthy.
…
Trump is rated less positively by all party groups on the qualities related to character. While still largely praising him, smaller majorities of Republicans see him for his leadership and competency traits (between 77% and 85%). Between 19% and 27% of independents think Trump embodies any of the character traits, while Democrats’ agreement is only in the single digits…
Note….
Trump 2.0 seems to be an Economic and Governmental Failure to most Americans….
His effort to try and sell a sinking Economy in the media is NOT working….
This IS costing ‘His’ parties political candidates elections…
There is NO reason to see an uptune in things that would help Republicans in the Midterm elections ONLY Ten months away…..
Not to worry…
Commerce Secretary has incongruously declared that since the economy expanded at. 4.3 %That means Americans income will rise at that same amount.
It’s a good thing that we have such brainiacs running things in DC.
Idiot.
