The plans to protest the Trump Adim actions seems to be scaring the Republicans…
You know the people that climbed the walls and overan the US Capitol and got pardoned for doing it….
Speaker Mike Johnson on Friday slammed the No Kings protest march scheduled to take place at the National Mall next week, describing the planned protest as the “hate America rally” that would draw “the pro-Hamas wing” and “the antifa people.” His characterizations, however, drew condemnation from some Democrats who defended the protest movement, whose first big demonstration was overwhelmingly peaceful.
“They’re all coming out,” Johnson said Friday in an interview on Fox News. “Some of the House Democrats are selling t-shirts for the event. And it’s being told to us that they won’t be able to reopen the government until after that rally because they can’t face their rabid base.”

The No Kings movement first sprang up as counter-programming to a military parade spearheaded by the White House in June, leading to the largest coordinated demonstration against Trump to date since his return to the Oval Office. The protests were overwhelmingly peaceful, and organizers at the time said they specifically did not plan an event in Washington to avoid a conflict.
The coast-to-coast protests went on almost entirely without incident, with one notable act of violence — when rally “peacekeepers” in Salt Lake City shot and killed a bystander because they believed another man with a gun was about to fire on the crowd.
The organizers of the upcoming rally largely brushed off House GOP leaders’ characterization. In a joint, unsigned statement, which they said they issued “after a few moments of laughter,” they pressured Johnson over the government shutdown….
Group Launches $1 Million Ad Campaign Boosting ‘No Kings’ Rallies On Oct. 18
Home of the Brave, a bipartisan group focused on calling out Trump’s authoritarianism, on Monday launched a $1 million ad campaign to promote the nationwide “No Kings” rallies scheduled for Oct. 18.
The campaign is running full-page ads this week in more than 185 local newspapers across 31 states, in addition to national ads in USA Today, The New York Times and The Washington Post. The group also released a 60-second video featuring George Conway, a member of its board, encouraging Americans to peacefully protest “the false king” that is Trump.
All of the ads encourage people to join their local No Kings event on Saturday.
Home of the Brave, which is led by a mix of prominent voices in media and politics, is a partner organization of the No Kings coalition.
Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) last week falsely claimed the No Kings protests are “a hate America” rally, and weirdly blamed the groups organizing these protests for the government shutdown. In fact, the rallies are being led by dozens of pro-democracy groups, including the American Civil Liberties Union, the League of Conservation Voters and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), who shut down Johnson’s claims.
“No, Speaker Johnson, the No Kings Rally on October 18th is not a ‘hate America’ rally,” Sanders said on social media. “It’s a group of people who are disgusted that you and your friends want to double health care premiums in this country, and take health care away from 15 million Americans,” he said. “The right to protest is what America is about. You are not going to stop us.”
Abbott Sends National Guard to Austin for No Kings Rally
“Texas Gov. Greg Abbott is deploying the state’s National Guard to Austin ahead of this weekend’s planned No Kings rally in the Texas capital, as top Republicans around the country vilify the protests as Antifa-linked and led by the radical flank of the Democratic Party,” Politico reports.
One would think the Texas Gov is LOOKING for Trouble?
