Pesident Trump trails progressive stalwarts Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) in favorability polling, according to a new survey conducted by Gallup.
The poll, which was released Tuesday morning, found that among 14 prominent figures, Trump’s net favorable rating was negative 16 points, with 41 percent of respondents having a favorable view of the president and 57 percent saying the opposite. Another 2 percent had no opinion about Trump. ….

Next, we’d like to get your overall opinion of some people in the news. As I read each name, please say if you have a favorable or unfavorable opinion of that person — or if you have never heard of them.
The table shows the answers of respondents who were asked whether they have a favorable or unfavorable opinion of several prominent individuals or if they have no opinion, which includes those who have never heard of them. The individuals are listed in descending order based on their net favorable rating, which is calculated by subtracting the unfavorable percentage from the favorable percentage. Pope Leo XIV holds the highest net favorable rating at +46 percentage points, with 57% viewing him favorably, 11% unfavorably and 31% having no opinion. Volodymyr Zelenskyy follows with a net favorable score of +18, based on 52% favorable, 34% unfavorable and 14% no opinion.

Well, CG, while His Holiness may be Christ’s Vicar here on Earth, no one has claimed that the Pope (even when infallible) is perfectly pure (or purely perfect).
No doubt, with further reflection, he can change his affections, but that would sadden me as also a fan of an American League Sox.
