Trump has annouced that ‘homeless people in the area ‘should LEAVE’…..
Trump did this in Los Angles this summer….
But has withdrawn most of the troops from the American city….
It appears that this President has no problems with sending the US Military against American citizens when he wants to…And taking steps to extend ‘HIS” control over a America that he wants to shape in his image …
And nobody seems top want to stop him….

The decision to deploy troops comes as the president has been slamming America’s cities as places where crime is out of control, despite two years of declines that have brought homicide levels in many major cities to their lowest levels in decades.
The administration has already mobilized FBI agents in recent days in overnight shifts to help local law enforcement prevent carjackings and violent crime, officials said. Because the District of Columbia is not a state, the federal government has unusually sweeping powers to intervene over the objections of its residents and leaders, giving the president an opportunity to use it as a laboratory for a militarized approach to urban crime-fighting.
Trump has portrayed crime in the nation’s capital as spiraling upward. D.C. Mayor Muriel E. Bowser repeatedly has noted that violent crime has declined for the last two years after a sharp post-pandemic spike in 2023….

City leaders have disputed Trump’s characterization of crime in Washington, saying that the nation’s capital is safer than it was a year ago. Violent crime is down 26 percent compared with this time in 2024, according to D.C. police data. Homicides are down 12 percent.
D.C. police have made about 900 juvenile arrests this year — almost 20 percent fewer than during the same time frame last year. About 200 of those charges are for violent crimes, and at least four dozen are for carjacking.
At the same time, local officials acknowledge that the city’s unique non-state structure gives the federal government wide authority to exert control over Washington’s affairs, even over the objection of the city’s residents and its elected representatives. The city gained limited powers in the 1973 Home Rule Act….

A federal takeover of D.C. law enforcement would be an extraordinary move against local sovereignty.
In addition to the FBI, the Secret Service and the U.S. Secret Service Uniformed Division have also been directed to launch special patrols in Washington, according to a White House official who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss the operation. But the administration has not consulted with the D.C. police department — the chief law enforcement agency responsible for policing local crime — about how best to deploy federal resources…

If the National Guard is deployed, it would be another example of the president’s increasing use of U.S. military forces to carry out his objectives on American soil, an approach that has been used only sparingly over history and which has spurred concerns of over-militarization…..

The Washington DC crime event which had the most perpetrators took place on 1/6/21 by supporters of Donald Trump who believed they were acting at his behest. He delayed taking any action to stop those violent offenders and later pardoned them.
That was a rough area that day.

I strongly disagree that DC cops would be for this.
What is happening in the federal capital is a test run for Trump to try to “federalize” police departments and entire city governments in Democrat cities like NYC, Chicago, and Los Angeles.
It would be an all out assault on the 10th Amendment and the political party which spent decades in defense of that Constitutional tenant will find they have changed their mind or will shrug.

Unions and union bosses are political. Any major city police union these days is going to be very much in conflict with their city’s liberal Mayor because by nature, unions have incentive to be greedy. So, these union heads are going to be pro-MAGA. That is certainly the case in Chicago with the head of the police union. These unions do not necessarily speak for the rank and file of course. In any event, the rights of the citizens should matter more.
Technically, Trump might have the right to do this in DC, but with crime down there, it seems like nothing more than a move designed to create political headlines and distract from issues like Epstein.
Of course it’s NOT THAT simple….

Blue state cities ARE BIG and would require assets Trump simply does NOT have
