It strikes me that biggest problem Biden has right now is Michigan. Given the polling in the Sun Belt, he likely needs to win it… and right now he simply put is trailing there..

Michigan a state that was bluer than Pennsylvania and Wisconsin the last two cycles. Has a democratic trifecta in the state government. The only conclusion you can reasonably reach is that Biden supporting Netanyahu has been an absolute disaster politically in Michiga

The term “ pulling away” is used politically to indicate that the race is essentially over and one candidates margin is increasing and is likely to continue doing so.
Nothing like this is happening here.
Rather this will likely be a very close race with the polls showing very narrow margins for the leader ,which may switch several times,right up until the election.

There is no denying Biden DID get a small ‘bounce’ off the SOTU speech
He WAS trailing Trump by 5+ points
He was even or slightly ahead
He has fallen to even
Trump is now in court blazing across the media
Biden being Biden is appearing in front of small groups almost invisible to national media
It may not get him more votes
Bit Biden HAS shown a skill at getting the US and the world through situations in the Middle East and Europe that Trump would be unable to navigate
