Willis changes from a Spring trial date…..
(She actually has been forced to by Georgia law due to another Federal case )
Seems that DA Willis and Justice Dept.Special Counsel Smith are also trying to make sure their trials step off BEFORE the July 2024 Republican Presidential Convention and the November Election….
The Manhattan DA is on for March 2024 and who KNOWS when the Miami Federal judge Cannon will allow Trump to stall until….
There WILL BE delays….
There will be less then 19 defendents as some flip and come off the docket….
But she will be trying as many as she can since this IS a organized crime case…
But the prosecutor’s are working hard to get their trial moving….
Willis seems to be MUCH more aggressive and tenacious then the Feds….
Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis filed a motion Thursday requesting the trial to begin on Oct. 23 in her Georgia case accusing former President Donald Trump and 18 co-defendants of attempting to overturn the results of the 2020 election in the Peach State.
Willis previously said she would need about six months before going to trial in the sweeping and historic case against the 2024 Republican front-runner and his associated.
But the local prosecutor sped that schedule up in her latest motion, which if accepted by Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee would mean that they would jump ahead of all the other felony criminal cases involving Trump — assuming as well none of those get moved up too…
…
Willis’ scheduling request came a day after a demand for a speedy trial was filed by Kenneth Chesebro, a former lawyer for Trump who faces seven felony counts, including violating the state’s Georgia’s Racketeer Influenced and Corruption Organization (RICO) law, and several additional conspiracies for trying to impersonate a public officer, forgery in the first degree, and false statements and writings.
Chesebro is also seeking an expedited arraignment….

Is this the start of a wholesale move to torpedo Trump’s hope for stalling the Georgia proceedings past the next November election?
Another Trump Co-Defendant Seeks Speedy Trial
“Attorney Sidney Powell on Friday filed a speedy trial demand in the Fulton County elections interference case that has also ensnared former President Donald Trump and ex-New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani,” the Atlanta Journal Constitution reports.
“Powell becomes the second defendant to file for a speedy trial in the sprawling racketeering case, which culminated in a 19-person, 41-count indictment last week.”
She joins Kenneth Chesebro, who is set to have his trial begin October 23.
