The Democratic President will be sitting down with the two Democratic US Senator’s that will decide his effort to get and Infrastructure , Social Safety Net and Budget legislation passed….
The two senator’s of HIS party hold the cards due to the US Senate rules and slim Democratic majority in the Senate….
The two Senator’s have held tight against the size of Biden’s effort to ‘Go Big’ ……
Sens. Kyrsten Sinema (D-Ariz.) and Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) are expected to meet with President Biden at the White House on Tuesday as administration officials and congressional Democrats seek a path forward on the president’s economic agenda.
The two senators will meet with Biden separately, a source familiar with the plans said. Manchin and an aide confirmed the West Virginia senator would head to the White House later Tuesday.
The meetings mark the third time in as many weeks the two key centrist Democrats will visit the White House to discuss Biden’s agenda. Both Sinema and Manchin have raised concerns about the size of a proposed $3.5 trillion spending package put forward by Biden and other Democrats.
But the two have frustrated progressives, in particular, as they have largely stopped short of articulating what specifically they want to see in the reconciliation package, which Democrats hope to pass without Republican support. Sinema gave an interview to an Arizona news outlet in which she talked about the urgent need to address climate change.
Manchin, meanwhile, threw cold water on the prospects of getting the reconciliation bill done in time for a planned Thursday House vote on a bipartisan infrastructure bill that already passed the Senate….

Manchin and Sinema Leave Democrats In a Lurch
“Democrats wanted clarity Tuesday from Sens. Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema after back-to-back meetings with President Joe Biden. They didn’t get it,” Politico reports.
“During a private meeting with the president, Sinema made clear she’s still not on board with the party’s $3.5 trillion social spending plan and is hesitant to engage on some specifics until the bipartisan infrastructure package passes the House.”
“Sinema and Manchin’s approach to the negotiations has frozen Biden’s jobs and families plan and potentially may lead to a high-profile failure of a bipartisan infrastructure bill on the House floor as progressives threaten rebellion. But without more details from the moderate duo, any hope of a bicameral agreement on Biden’s agenda is a pipe dream.”

Joining Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and other members of the “squad,” Senator Bernie Sanders on Tuesday urged his fellow Democrats in the House to vote against the bipartisan infrastructure bill when it comes to the floor for a vote on Thursday unless Congress first passes the $3.5 trillion reconciliation package.
“I strongly urge my House colleagues to vote against the bipartisan infrastructure bill until Congress passes a strong reconciliation bill,” Sanders tweeted Tuesday.
The infrastructure plan has been in limbo for weeks since the Congressional Progressive Caucus formed a coalition vowing to vote against the infrastructure bill unless the larger bill accompanied it. Twenty-two House Democrats have signed onto this ultimatum, earning the support of Sanders and ten other Senate Democrats. The reconciliation package includes provisions for climate change, child care, healthcare, education, and other Democratic legislative priorities.
“Let’s be crystal clear. If the bipartisan infrastructure bill is passed on its own on Thursday, this will be in violation of an agreement that was reached within the Democratic Caucus in Congress,” Sanders said.

On Sunday night, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi issued a letter announcing that she would delay the vote on the infrastructure bill, bowing to progressive pressure to try to advance the social policy measure first. Debate on the former commences in the chamber Tuesday ahead of the Thursday vote.
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer suggested to CNN on Tuesday that he didn’t necessarily agree with Pelosi’s pivot. He reportedly told the Democratic caucus that he was not consulted before Pelosi decided to pursue a course that separated the infrastructure package from the reconciliation plan, multiple sources told CNN….
