That WILL be complicated going forward….
The case went national due to Jussie Smollett being an actor on well known TV show….
Chicago Police arrested the two guys that where presumed to attacked the actor….
But the guys said Smollett paid them to stage the attack….
Then it was said Smollett faked the attack….
The two guys turned out to be Smollett personal trainers , who where paid for the training….
Then Smollett was arrested for falsely reporting the whole thing…
Yesterday Smollett was absolved of all charges….
And the media went batshit crazy….
Hmmmm?
Now we have Donald Trump jumping in?
He’s gonna send the Feds in because Democratic Mayor Rahm Emmanuel and the Police Head out there are pissed…..
I could be wrong?
But the Trump involvement may just turn things on its head….
And smells like Politics….
Some people are gonna see this as a President who has no problem with white nationalists egger to go after a black nationally know actor, who has been reported to be gay…..
Or is this Trump going after a Black female DA?
Yes….
I thinking that this might turn into a racial thing….
This case is probably about something that actually did NOT happen, Right?
(Rev. Jessie Jackson....’No one was killed in this case…)
I hope I’m wrong about Trump’s motive….
We’ll see how it plays….
President Donald Trump said Thursday that the Justice Department would examine Chicago prosecutors’ decision to drop disorderly conduct charges against actor Jussie Smollett, who was accused of orchestrating a fake, racially motivated attack against himself.
After charging Smollett last February, Cook County Prosecutors made the surprise announcement on Tuesday that they would drop their charges against the actor, who stars in Fox’s “Empire.” The bizarre case had garnered national attention and the move to drop it was met with sharp criticism from Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel and police superintendent Eddie Johnson.
Trump, too, expressed outrage and said the decision would be investigated at the federal level.
“FBI & DOJ to review the outrageous Jussie Smollett case in Chicago,” the president wrote on Twitter. “It is an embarrassment to our Nation!”
A spokeswoman for the Department of Justice declined to comment on the president’s promise of a federal review of the case.
Smollett’s story first emerged in late January, when he said he was attacked in Chicago by two men who poured bleach on him, tied a rope around his neck and yelled homophobic slurs. Smollett also accused the attackers of telling him he was in “MAGA country,” a reference to the president’s “make America great again” slogan….
