This time for something shown in the sand on a beach?……

“Last May, Comey posted a photo on social media of shells on a beach writing out the numbers ’86 47,’ which critics said referred to taking out or killing Trump.”

Originally, I’ve read, the expression ‘86’ was chalked onto restaurant blackboard to indicate items no longer available, from which we get phrases like “86 the baked beans”.
Later it naturally evolved into referring to customers no longer welcome, as in “you can’t come in here any longer; you’ve been 86’ed” [e.g. for starting a fight, abusing the staff or failing to pay a bill].
Only after that, I’ve assumed, was it applied to eliminating people gangster style.
But there are so many other (non-violent) ways of 86’ing the 47th President, e.g. by impeachment, criminal conviction, resignation or invoking the 25th Amendment. And in a No Kings rally, “86 Trump” usually means little more than “86 Biden” would mean at a MAGA rally.
