The Minnesota ICE/CBP shootings fall out continues…..
Is Miller next to be looked to be throw out?
Anger at Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem coursed throughout the Senate on Tuesday, especially among senators who voted to confirm her.
Why it matters: Democrats disagreed on whether her departure would change the Trump administration’s immigration policy. But Republicans, for the first time, broke ranks with President Trump on Noem.
- “She should be out of a job,” said Sen. Thom Tillis (R-N.C.), who voted to confirm Noem.
- “I would not support her again, and I think it probably is time for her to step down,” said Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska), who also voted to confirm Noem.
Zoom in: “Kristi Noem should resign or be removed,” said Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-N.H.), one of seven Democrats who voted for Noem.
- “She clearly does not know what she’s doing. She’s not up to the job. She’s lied to the American public, and it’s time for her to go.”
- Noem is “inept and absolutely incompetent,” said Sen. John Fetterman(D-Pa.) in an interview with Axios Pittsburgh.
- “I have said that in a normal administration, she would have been asked to resign by now. This is obviously not a normal administration,” said Sen. Maggie Hassan (D-N.H.).
The other side: “I don’t want a DHS Secretary Stephen Miller,” said Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.), who also voted for Noem.
- “Just her resignation would not be sufficient.”
- “If she goes, we’re going to get just another bad apple,” Sen. Gary Peters (D-Mich.) told reporters. “So we have to fix DHS.”
Between the lines: Sen. Elissa Slotkin (D-Mich.), who voted for Noem, dodged questions on whether she should resign. “I will have more to say about it tomorrow,” she said….
…
The bottom line: Trump defended Noem on Tuesday, saying she’s doing a “very good job.”….
Note….
Noem’s days as Homeland Boss ARE numbered…..
She isn’t Hegseth who GOPer’s made excuses for….
Both Democrats AND Republican Lawmakers want her out…
And?
She’s a Woman in the Trump crowd….
I doubt Trump will seriously let her drag him down….
(Homan get her job?)

Republicans have fucked themselves so bad in Minnesota it may spread to Wisconsin and Iowa.
Last night in an already blue Minnesota senate district won by Kamala Harris by 75-25 the Democrat won 95% to the GOP nominee at 4%.
Thanks Scott…..
Democrats ARE Gonna Come Back STRONG in NINE months….
They WILL have ole Donald to think as stuff he touches ‘turns to SHIT’…..
CG?
The Trump ‘Base’ will NOT be enough to hold the House and won’t be enough to stop a new Democratic President come Jan. 21, 2029….
Trump and Republicans will by stealing Indies and weak knee Dem’s….
Ain’t troo many of BOTH gonna vote Republican in the next less than 3 years…
As you should know, I have not been rooting for Republicans to win elections for a long time now.
Nonetheless, you and many others (as is the case on the other side) are being overly dismissive of the problems your party has and why so many people have been voting against them and will why so many will in 2026 and 2028. The question is how many show up, because a lot of Trump voters appear to only be motivated to show up when Trump is on the ballot.
Republicans will be doing what they can to nationalize the election and hope for as large of a turnout as possible. If the turnout is low, as is the case in all these pre-midterm special elections, Democrats will do very well because their base is more motivated to show up.
And the Trump movement — especially Donald Trump himself — have been questioning and denying the honesty and accuracy of elections so long and so hard that many of those inclined to their side (low-motivated to begin with) will be discouraged from even trying to vote (“what’s the use? the system’s rigged!)
Trump IS WORKING HARD to HELP Democrats…..
I expect he will NOT let Up on his efforts…..
