The judges, representing appointees of nearly every president since Ronald Reagan, have grown increasingly alarmed by what they see as a pattern of defiance by the administration, shocking behavior by ICE and rampant targeting of people with no criminal history, despite Trump’s claim to be targeting “the worst of the worst.”….

Press secretary Karoline Leavitt said policy discussions over Minnesota shouldn’t block government funding approval.
The White House on Monday urged the Senate to pass the six-bill appropriations package to avert a partial government shutdown and signaled it doesn’t want Department of Homeland Security money separated out.
“At this point, the White House supports the bipartisan work that was done to advance the bipartisan appropriations package and we want to see that passed,” press secretary Karoline Leavitt said at a White House briefing when asked if the administration would be willing to separate DHS funding….

All sorts of Republican political types are stepping back on this story to various degrees, but online at least, the MAGA base is having no part of it. They are twisting themselves into circles trying to justify that what was done to Preti was completely justified while also somehow being the fault of Democrats. They are mostly troubled that Greg Bovino has been re-assigned. It seems to me like they are trying to glue themselves to a position in order to avoid having to face their own consciences.
It reminds me a lot of how so many on the far left approach Hamas.
Bovino has been suspended from his social media accounts and has basically been fired from his top level position. They are going to make him the scapegoat.

In a Truth Social post, Trump said “lots of progress is being made!” He said border czar Tom Homan would meet with Frey tomorrow to continue the discussion.

You love to talk about Miller, and yes, he has a ton of influence, but only a political junkie knows who Miller is or cares. He is a staffer. Kristi Noem and Greg Bovino are the ones that people are recognizing from tv or things they see on the internet. They are the ones giving press conferences that are getting ripped apart.
He probably cannot fire Noem. That would give the left and the media a “victory” and he cannot have that at this time. But they can pretty much make Bovino go away.
