With Trump & Co. beating him and his state down from a right wing story of massive fraud in childc are funds?
(And adding a immigrant angle to the situation)
The Harris Presidential campaign Vice President choice is giving up a re-eection run….
The Republicans got him….
Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) announced Monday that he was dropping his reelection bid for a third term as scrutiny grows over his handling of a massive fraud scandal in his state.
“Every minute I spend defending my own political interests would be a minute I can’t spend defending the people of Minnesota against the criminals who prey on our generosity and the cynics who prey on our differences,” Walz said in a statement, who still projected confidence of his ability to win a third term had he remained in the race.
…
Walz’s announcement marks a stunning turnabout for the Minnesota governor, who less than two years ago was tapped as the 2024 vice presidential nominee and was widely floated as a potential 2028 White House candidate.
Prosecutors allege as much as roughly $9 billion was stolen by various groups in Minnesota who purported to have provided meal assistance for children in need, in addition to other social safety net services that were reimbursed through state agencies. The scandal increasingly became a political liability for Walz in recent months, especially after a video by conservative YouTuber Nick Shirley went viral….

Minnesota is home to about roughly 80,000 of Somali descent, with the vast majority being U.S.-born or naturalized citizens.
Walz’s administration, which has suggested tens of millions of dollars were likely stolen — far short of the $9 billion figure suggested by prosecutors — has taken steps toward addressing the issue, including auditing more than a dozen Medicaid services and tapping Tim O’Malley, a former superintendent of the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, as Minnesota’s Director of Program Integrity….
…
Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) met with Walz prior to him announcing his decision and expressed interest in running for governor, according to The New York Times. Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon (D) and Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison (D) have also been floated as potential successors….
That won’t stick CG…..
And the media IS sure to front the actual numbers which probably are about average from state to state….
Could the next Democratic President indict Trump for the TOTAL fraud in ALL Federal prigrams in the BILLIONS come 2028?
Republicans ain’t thinking about tomorrow, eh?
As to the last part, apparently no according to the SCOTUS.
Klobuchar is likely to be elected Governor if she runs.
The right is claiming that she would then appoint Tim Walz to replace her in the Senate.
I can definitely see that happening actually.
