Reports are that the PEACEFUL crowds are the size of the 1960’s ones……
They ARE a message to Donald Trump and his supporters that a LARGE amount of Americans are NOT happy with things since Trump began his second term as President…
This is NOT the polls…
This IS Americans IN THE STREET (Here and Abroad) voicing their DISAPPROVAL…..
The Washington Post…
Demonstrators danced, held up punny protest signs and dressed in costumes that have become symbolic of anti-ICE protests in Portland. Elected officials delivered addresses lambasting Trump. A street carnival atmosphere took hold in many places and the mass gatherings remained largely peaceful through midafternoon Saturday. Republicans had sought in advance to portray the gatherings in darker terms, as “hate America” rallies, with some GOP congressional leaders suggesting the protests were meant to appease a “terrorist wing” of the Democratic Party….
…
Trump has pushed back on the argument from some protesters that he’s behaving like a monarch with unchecked powers. “They’re referring to me as a king. I’m not a king,” Trump said in an interview clip with Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo released Friday. He did not make any public comments about the protests for much of Saturday.
The New York Police Department said Saturday afternoon that it had not made any protest-related arrests. The D.C. police also said Saturday afternoon that it had made no protest-related arrests….
Big crowds gather around the country

In Chicago, a city that’s become a focal point of the administration’s crackdown on illegal immigration in recent weeks, a large crowd showed up at Butler Field in Grant Park. Demonstrators also filled the lawn of Boston Common and gathered outside the Atlanta Civic Center.
Demonstrations were held in cities large and small, inside the U.S. and abroad — from gatherings alongside the road in small towns and conservative suburbs to the U.S. Embassy in Dublin.
Democratic politicians embrace protests
Democratic elected officials took part in several No Kings protests in cities large and small.
Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vermont) closed out D.C.’s No Kings program, urging Republicans to “come back from your month-long vacation” and “end this shutdown.”
Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Connecticut), who also spoke in D.C., claimed Trump “is enacting a detailed, step-by-step plan to destroy all of the things that protect our democracy,” pointing to what he said were the president’s actions to “destroy” free speech and fair elections.
“But the truth is also this,” Murphy continued. “He has not won. The people still rule in this country.”
Democratic National Committee Chairman Ken Martin was at the No Kings rally in Montclair, New Jersey — a state where the governor’s race is just two weeks away….
Republicans criticize gatherings
Ahead of the protests, Republicans suggested that Democrats were using Saturday’s events to delay agreeing to end the government shutdown. Some continued that line of argument on Saturday.
“The far-left activist groups are pressuring Democrats to keep the government closed until after their radical, anti-America, ‘No Kings’ rally is over. Sen. [Charles E.] Schumer is now a puppet of the radical, extreme, dangerous, scary wing of his party,” wrote Senate Majority Whip John Barrasso (R-Wyoming) on X.
Trump said ahead of the protests that he thought “very few people” would attend them. Johnson predicted that “people who don’t want to stand and defend the foundational truths of this republic” would be “on full display.”
Others continued suggesting the rallygoers were unpatriotic. The “‘No Kings’ … or as I like to call them ‘Hate America’ rallies,’” wrote House Republican Conference Chair Lisa McLain (R-Michigan) on X.
Demonization of the rallies only served to boost interest, Ezra Levin, co-founder of Indivisible, told The Post. “I did not pay a dollar for this free publicity. It is incredible,” he said Thursday. “They fear mass peaceful protests, and that’s true of any authoritarian regime.”….

Live updates: Anti-Trump protesters rally across the country at ‘No Kings’ events
Thousands of “No Kings” rallies are underway nationwide on Saturday in protest of President Trump and his policies.
Some defiant Democrats have embraced this weekend’s protests, while GOP lawmakers have bashed the protests as “hate America” demonstrations.
“Showing up to express dissent against an out-of-control administration, that’s as American as motherhood, baseball and apple pie,” House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) said Friday.
Saturday’s protests follow a series of June marches that coincided with the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary military parade in Washington, D.C., which also happened to be Trump’s 79th birthday.
The rallies are taking place amidst the government shutdown as well federal troop deployments across the country.

Note….
Republicans actually probably helped pump up the protest numbers by mentioning the events in a negative way ….
Note….
Several media outfits have scarcely covered the protest’s which could be effort to NOT annoy Trump?
Protesting is a very American thing, but calm down there…
There seems to be a suggestion that these protests are somehow *more* representative than polls. That is perhaps one of the oddest takes I have ever heard. At most, about 1 percent of the country may have demonstrated against Trump today. Even flawed polls are conducted scientifically and almost always fall within the margin of error.
About 40 percent, if not somewhat more, of Americans approve of Donald Trump. Those that disapprove are a heck of a lot larger than anyone who marched today in the streets, but among those 60 percent or so of Americans, there is hardly any sort of groundswell support for Democrats these days.
We are a divided country as a whole, with people tending to side with their neighbors in terms of voting far more often than not and more than what used to be typical. Thus, we are are going to see divided election results.
What remains accurate is that people who love MAGA truly think Trump is far more popular than he actually is, while those on the left, such as james, truly think he is more unpopular than he actually is.
YO!…..
A Guy that would be THAT POPULAR generates MILLONS of people going to the Streets to OPPOSSE his actions??????
Hmmmmm?
And you use polls in your rebuttal?
With each passing year you are getting more out of touch with reality. Please retire the blog and enjoy time with your family.

For What It’s Worth
Song by Buffalo Springfield
There’s something happening here
But what it is ain’t exactly clear
There’s a man with a gun over there
Telling me I got to beware
I think it’s time we stop
Children, what’s that sound?
Everybody look, what’s going down?
There’s battle lines being drawn
Nobody’s right if everybody’s wrong
Young people speaking their minds
Getting so much resistance from behind
It’s time we stop
Hey, what’s that sound?
Everybody look, what’s going down?
What a field day for the heat (Ooh ooh ooh)
A thousand people in the street (Ooh ooh ooh)
Singing songs and they carrying signs (Ooh ooh ooh)
Mostly say, “Hooray for our side” (Ooh ooh ooh)
It’s time we stop
Hey, what’s that sound?
Everybody look, what’s going down?
Paranoia strikes deep
Into your life it will creep
It starts when you’re always afraid
Step out of line, the men come and take you away…
We better stop
Hey, what’s that sound?
Everybody look, what’s going down?
You better stop
Hey, what’s that sound?
Everybody look, what’s going down?
You better stop
Now, what’s that sound?
Everybody look, what’s going down?
You better stop
Children, what’s that sound?
Everybody look, what’s going down?
