The shooter took his own life….
A shooter opened fire Wednesday morning during Mass at a Minneapolis Catholic school, killing two children and injuring 17 other people before killing himself, officials said.
Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara said the shooter — armed with a rifle, shotgun and pistol — approached the side of the church and shot through the windows toward the children sitting in the pews during Mass at the Annunciation Catholic School.
The school was evacuated, and students’ families were later directed to a “reunification zone” at the school. President Donald Trump and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz said in separate social media posts that they had been briefed on the shooting.
Here’s what we know so far:
- The victims: Two children ages 8 and 10 were killed where they sat in the pews. Seventeen other people were injured, 14 of them children. Two of those children are in critical condition.
- The shooter: The police chief said the shooter was in his early 20s, did not have an extensive known criminal history and acted alone, but did not release any other information. A law enforcement official told The Associated Press that authorities identified the shooter as Robin Westman. That official was not authorized to discuss the ongoing investigation and spoke on condition of anonymity.
- The school: Founded in 1923, Annunciation Catholic School had 391 students enrolled for the 2023-24 school year, according to the National Center for Education Statistics. The school goes from pre-K to eighth grade….
What a horrible situation
I do not know all the facts, beyond the obvious that the targets were children in a church, but MAGA world is convinced that the shooter was very anti-Trump as well as being transgender and they are absolutely salivating as to how Trump will effectively be able to use this tragedy against Democrats and anybody who is anti-Trump.
Seems confirmed the murderer was trans and virulently anti-Jewish. For their selfish political purposes, the White House and their associates hit the jackpot on this perpetrator.
The killer also expressed admiration and a Presidential endorsement of Brandon Herrera, who is a right-wing figure who lost in a Texas Congressional primary runoff last year. Herrera has denounced the association.
MAGA types will skip over this part and focus on his anti-Trump statements. The one thing that continues the extreme right and extreme left continues to be a hatred of Israel and Jews.
His mother worked or used to work at the church. Frankly, it’s amazing, considering his writings and statements related to this act that he attacked a Catholic church and not a synagogue.

The suspected shooter who killed two children at a Minnesota church Wednesday wrote incendiary messages on gun magazines, including one that read “Kill Donald Trump.”
The images appeared in a manifesto posted online around the same time as the shooting Wednesday morning.
