Hunter Biden defended his father, former President Biden, in a pair of interviews released on Monday.
The big picture: In his first interviews since the 2024 election, Hunter Biden denied President Trump’s insinuation that he used cocaine in the White House and said the Democratic Party’s response to his father’s infamous presidential debate performance last summer was overblown.

This was a grotesque display by Hunter Biden, someone who has already played his role in contributing to the situation America and the world finds itself in today.
Actual Democrats should be far more pissed out about it and at him than I am, and this “interview” only made his family and his father look even worse.
Hunter Biden does not realize how “lucky” he by virtue of his birth and at this point in his life he ought to shut up and go away.

Are you seriously actually still maintaining that Joe Biden should have kept running in 2024? It sounds like it.
What we know now is that Hunter’s problems were so severe that Joe Biden should never have run in 2020. Biden won that year, because of a once in a century pandemic, but wound up being an unpopular President, and was apparently so consumed with the battles of his adult son, whom he had already been pulling strings for and getting out of trouble for decades, that it took a toll on Joe Biden’s health and blinded him to the realities of his own political standing.
Had Joe Biden not dropped out a year ago, Trump would have won many more states and there would be dozens additional Republican House and Senate members right now.
Hunter Biden did so much damage because his father chose to put his family’s ego above the country’s well-being. Now, Hunter is talking to cameras, dropping f bombs every three words while insulting everyone, and assuming he is sober, coming across as the biggest jerk in the country this side of Donald Trump.

If Joe Biden were President today, who would actually be running the Executive Branch? Does that matter at all? It has to be somebody and it would not be Biden. It would be somebody un-elected.
Recognizing this fact and considering it unacceptable Constitutionally and for democracy is not inconsistent with not wanting Trump to be President.
The bottom line is that Biden had no business running for reelection (we will put the decision to run for the first term aside) and the fact that he did run and kept running for as many days as he did is the reason Trump is President today.
Thinking that he should have kept running for any additional days or that the outcome would have somehow been more favorable to his party, as Hunter suggests, is just nuts.

i do not buy into the theory that Biden had staff during his term ding things he would not have wanted them to do, but clearly, people around him, including Hunter, had far more influence than they should have.
Theoretically, if Biden were President now, putting aside his Stage Four cancer, which would have realistically required a resignation or use of the 25th Amendment, it is clear that he was declining mentally (though perhaps not to the extent that some on the right have claimed) and such a thing was irreversible.
Today. Trump is capable of being a truly horrible, if not criminal President. Biden is not capable of being President, period. The latter led to the former (in more ways than one) and such a thing should not be forgotten.

I am definitely not going to watch this 3 hour plus interview, but the clips I saw of Hunter are just insane.
Perhaps the most insane part is that Hunter was musing about if he were President (as if he thinks he might run) what he would demand before invading (“f&$5”) El Salvador.
Since I recall james in the lead-up to 2020 saying that Chelsea Clinton should be considered a viable Presidential candidate for that cycle, I have to perhaps assume james is also not completely opposed to the idea of Hunter Biden running for President to get his dad’s job back.
