Reports where that Donald Trump did NOT want Vance for his VP…..
He wanted Burgum….
Trump’s kids persuaded their father to pick Vance, who Trump is reported to have been worried would overshadow him….
We now have a different Democratic Presidential nominee, that WAS the Vice President nominee, when Vance was picked….
This could just be noise…..
And there are now more reports that the euphoria over a flaying Joe Biden run has all but disappeared with the coming nomination of Kamala Harris…

I am genuinely curious if Donald Trump knew that Vance’s wife was Indian-American and a practicing Hindu. (She would join Doug Emhoff in being the first spouse of a President or VP, all of whom have of course identified as Christian, to not identify as Christian.)
His staff or sons certainly knew, but I can imagine that they did not tell him and he might not have ever asked anything about her.
I was not aware myself that Vance was a convert to Catholicism. JFK and Biden were/are Catholic, but not converts. Pence converted the other direction.
