President Biden did NOT have a Good Debate……
He held his own mostly in substance…..
Hand’s DOWN…..
But the media IS about OPTICS……
And Joe Biden came across as a guy with horse voice, stutter and sometimes fumbling…..
Donald Trump came across with strong voice and lied his ass off, lied and keep whining….
We won’t know how the results will be in snap polling…..
But?
Biden, with cold, its reported……
Did NOT come across as a STRONG robust President…..
He might be a guy who can run the Presidency?
But he COULD BE IN trouble with his presentation to voters…
And?.
There may NOT be another Debate for Biden…..
We could be in deep trouble come November….

As has happened in the past…..
He could be Alright despite the first impressions in the media….

You have to do something about this. No Labels and all those types who might have been interested stood down. Dean Phillips was laughed at and dismissed Nobody else stood up. So, this is up to you Democrats. This is entirely up to you to give the public a viable option.

I watched the first 40 min or so…..
Biden was terrible in the beginning….
But got stronger in time…..
It was pointed out on MSNBC that if swing voters were focused on Trump’s comments?
THAT COULD turn out to save Biden ….

The only worse debate performance I have ever seen from a (non-gadfly) candidate was John Fetterman two years ago. He wound up winning somehow and I am pretty fond of him now actually.
This is the Presidency though and this is a very different situation. Hard and difficult decisions need to be made. If not, and if things wind up the way they look headed, there will be decades and decades of regret.

Trump isn’t being replaced. I would give almost anything to see that happen, but he leads a cult. He has to lose or the damage he will do is perhaps incomprehensible.
There is only one option to beat him. Things were looking pretty dicey going into tonight and it looks far worse now after. In challenging Trump for a debate in June, with this much time to go, this possibility HAD to have been part of the calculus, and that can wind up being a saving grace if the right people can put country first before it is too late.
If you only watched 40 of the 95 minutes, you made a good decision. I think a lot of people couldn’t bear to watch this and changed the channel. Yes, it got a little bit better at spurts for Biden after the beginning, but still pretty bad throughout, and then, the very end, was very bad again. These two old men were fighting with each other over their golf handicaps. This is what it has come to.
The debate was lost in the first five minutes though. The post-debate “spin” is traditionally as important to shaping public opinion than the debate itself, and there is just no way around this.
It was an unmitigated disaster and the clock is ticking.
Netanyahu should call on Biden to have a Come to Moses moment.
