To hear lies and disloyalty from whoever it is, that is a tough scenario for him,” said a Republican strategist close to the Trump campaign who was granted anonymity to speak freely…

As Daniels was on the stand, Trump had to sit silently and listen as she revealed a series of embarrassing details about her alleged sexual encounter with him. The case centers on accusations that the former president falsified business records to hide a $130,000 payment to Daniels ahead of the 2016 election. It’s one of four separate criminal cases Trump is facing.
The warning from the judge on Tuesday — that his audible cursing and head shaking was “contemptuous” — appeared to work. On Thursday, as Trump watched the cross examination, he was less visibly animated as his defense team was determined to put Daniels on her heels and try to paint her as inconsistent and greedy for fame and money…

I don’t think a conviction of Trump in this case will have much effect on the presidential race.The facts here have been known for some time.And no I don’t buy that having known these facts the Trump supporters will turn on him just because a jury confirms what they already knew.

No one knows how trhings will go due to the expected appeal…

My experience is that you throw a bunch of charges at a jury?
They will usually convict the alleged offender of one or two.
Maybe that will happen here.

Seems unlikely there will be a conviction in NYC. Probably acquittal on some charges and a hung jury on others.
He needs just one juror. Considering the political nature of Trump in general, it would be a surprise if he does not obtain at least one holdout.

2) The checks for the money that was paid by Michael Cohen were signed BY Donald Trump and delived by Trump private security man to staff to be FedExed to Daniels…
3) Alan Weisselberg did NOT an coulkd NOT move over $100,000 with out Donald Trump askin g him what for?
4) Because of this?…Weisselberg has a ‘hush money’ contract amounting to over a Million Dollars to NOT admit what he knows…He has gone to jail TWICE sticking to the ‘Keep ur Mouth Shut’ clause…
5) Yes…This IS a felony crime because it WAS FOR political reason’s…The sex happened in 2009…The crimne in 2016…They cooked the books…To do it for the political reason move the crime up to a low felony…
6) Donald Trump HAS admitted on video that he did NOT want the news of the encounter released FOR politoical reasons before the 2026 election…
7) As with E. Jean Carroll?…Trump says he did ‘do it’…NOBODY believe he paid Daniels that money of he didn’t…

Regardless, you seem to be saying that a juror, sworn to a Constitutional duty, should put partisan politics above all else, regardless of facts or that law, and that speaks very poorly about you. and makes you very much like Donald Trump.
I must just be dense, but doesn’t Stormy Daniels’ (implicit or explicit) threat to disclose her encounter with Trump unless she were paid constitute a form of blackmail in the legal sense?
I believe she WAS promised money AND a appearance on the ‘Apprentice’ show….

Die hard MAGAts won’t drop Trump over a conviction. But the low information voters he’s counting on to put him over the top are more likely to do so. Some will gravitate to RFK Jr and others just won’t vote.
I HAVE been saying here that I feel Trump’s support IS SOFT…..
