NY-4: State Sen. Kevin Thomas (D) is dropping his bid to take on Rep. Anthony D’Esposito (R) in this medium-blue Nassau County seat that is set to not change significantly in redistricting. Thomas offered only vague explanations for his decision. The move leaves ex-Hempstead Twp. Supervisor and 2022 nominee Laura Gillen (D) as the favorite to take on D’Esposito a second time.
