DeSantis actually come’s in FOURTH behind Chris Christie in this new CNN/UNH Poll…..
Former President Donald Trump maintains a significant lead among likely voters in New Hampshire’s Republican presidential primary, but former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley has moved ahead of Trump’s other rivals and holds second place, according to a new CNN Poll conducted by the University of New Hampshire.
Trump’s advantage in New Hampshire remains short of the majority support he garners in primary polling nationally: 42% say they would vote for him, followed by Haley at 20%, former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie at 14%, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantisat 9%, tech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy at 8%, and no other candidate holding more than 2% support. Haley’s support has climbed 8 percentage points from the last CNN/UNH poll in September, with Ramaswamy dipping 5 points and support for Trump, Christie and DeSantis remaining relatively steady.
The survey finds that Trump’s standing in New Hampshire is boosted by majority support among registered Republicans (55% back him, 17% Haley, 11% DeSantis), while undeclared voters – those who are not registered with either party but say they are likely to vote in the Republican primary – are split between Haley (25%), Trump (24%) and Christie (24%)…..

Democrats and Democratic-leaners leaving the NH Dem. primary to support McCain against Geo. W. Bush probably deprived Bill Bradley of enough votes to beat Al Gore in New Hampshire.

No Change in Iowa
A new Iowa State Poll finds 54% of likely Republican caucus-goers said they support Donald Trump, while just 18% said that of Ron DeSantis and 12% backed Nikki Haley.
The other candidates are in single digits.
The numbers are nearly identical to an October poll.

The Biden campaign has labelled Nikki Haley as a “Maga extremist” after the chameleon announced that she would have signed a law that would outlaw abortion after six weeks if she were still Governor.
“ Nikki Haley is no moderate -she is an anti abortion Maga extremist who wants to rip away women’s freedoms just like she did when she was SC Governor.”

The word is ur former governor goes what everway the wind blows…..

Yes.
That’s why I referred to her as a “chameleon.”
Nikki will play whatever role she has to.
“MAGA,” moderate”etc etc ….
jamesb says
Well?
She’s the flavor of the week right now in the media and that will earen her some votes….
She’s ahead in NH but still behind DeSantis in Iowa right now….
Her only hope is try to become the alteritive to Trump should he somehow NOT be able to keep the lead come convention time with the legal stuff on his back…
My Name Is Jack says
It doesn’t matter really.
Once again, I reiterate, anybody who believes Donald Trump will quietly exit the stage if denied the Republican nomination?
Is a damn fool.
So assuming Haley, DeSantis, or anybody else ,were to defeat Trump for the nomination , their chances of winning the general election would be remote as Trump will refuse to support them and he still will hold sway over a large number of Republicans.
jamesb says
I repeat……
IF Trump somehow crashes and burns before the conversation due to his legal shit?
Or health related issues
Somebody’s gonna have to be the nominee
Right now
It IS HIS I agree

But — even should he not win the GOP nomination — he’s almost certain to run on another ticket (the Great Again party).
Theodore Roosevelt, for reasons that are unclear but sometimes-debated, broke with his closest friend and ally, Pres. William Howard Taft, and came second in the election of 1912, relegating Taft to third place with only two states’ Electors (8 from Vermont & Utah).
When T.R. declined his anticipated nomination by the Progressives in 1916, the Republican candidate (Gov. Charles Evans Hughes of New York) came much closer (277-254), and in 1920, Warren G. Harding (R) won the first of only four landslides (1920, 1936, 1964 & 1972) in modern U.S. electoral history.

Trump running 3rd party would give Biden a BLOW OUT win I think……
The system simply isn’t set up to handle such a thing with Independent , Democratic And a split and fractured GOP vote in that case….
