The South Carolina Republican says we’re in ‘dangerous times’ because Democrats and President Biden are running the country….
He also wants to give his buddy Donald Trump a pass on instigating crowds (not them though) to do his dirty work on Jan. 6….
And thinks the Big Guy will be voted into the American Presidency a second time so he can screw things up WORST...
Sen. Lindsey Graham warned that Americans are living in the “most dangerous times since the late ’30s” because of the “radical” legislative agenda of President Biden and his Democratic colleagues.
Graham (R-SC) predicted in an interview with John Catsimatidis on WABC 770 AM that voters in the 2022 midterm elections will be motivated “not based on what happened on Jan. 6, but based on this failed Democratic radical agenda.”
That agenda has put the nation in “the most dangerous times since the late ’30s.”
Graham also predicted in the interview that aired Sunday that Republicans would make great gains in November’s election and that former President Donald Trump would win in the 2024 presidential election. …
…
He also blasted Biden’s Jan. 6 speech and said the events of that day, when Trump supporters stormed the Capitol to disrupt the 2020 presidential election certification, would not result in Democratic wins in 2022.
He called Jan. 6 a “dark day” and said those who attacked the Capitol “need to be punished” but contended that Trump shouldn’t be blamed for the actions of the rioters.
‘It was an effort on his part to create a brazen political moment, to try to deflect from their failed presidency,” he said of Biden….

I wish Graham would just fuck Trump and get it over with.
Ghost of SE says
I…..don’t disagree with that assessment.
My Name Is Jack says
Just to show you how nuts these Republicans in SC are….
Several county Republican Committees have “censured” Graham for being insufficiently supportive of Trump.
Ghost of SE says
I’m guessing his years ago friendship with John McCain counts to them as “insufficient support” of Trump.
When will KY Republicans censure Mitch McConnell?
jamesb says
SE?
He’s the Senate Minority Leader
And he ain’t a McCarthy type…….
He bends when he has to
But don’t break from who he is….
Ain’t too many like him around among GOPer lawmakers

according to sex workers in published reports, it was Graham himself who likes to be called Lady G. This surprised me because Graham has previously announced he is not gay. But I would still be surprised if Graham now identifies as a trans woman. I understand that there are some men who like to have sex with other men who neither identify as gay nor as a trans woman. Maybe this is Graham?
I do not subscribe to the National Inquirer, but maybe they got to the bottom of this?

The bottom of it? Like Larry Craig it has always been an open secret that Ms. Lindsay hires prostitutes of the male variety.
Sad that in this day and age he has to be so secretive. No wonder he has no problem saying some of the things he does about the Democrats, he’s been telling lies for so long it has become second nature to her.
I doubt he would even resign if he got caught red handed with one of the boys. He can deny anything at this point.
If he would only come out of the closest.
Democratic Socialist Dave says
Huey Long (or one of the Longs) is often cited as warning candidates that they can’t be caught with a dead woman or a live boy.
Zreebs says
I think it was actually the corrupt Edwin Edward who said that.
I worked with his sister Rose when I lived in Louisiana.
Democratic Socialist Dave says
You’re right, Zreebs,
“The only way I won’t be re-elected is if I were found in bed with a dead girl or a live boy.”
Zreebs says
It is hard to find any politician more corrupt than Edwin Edwards. Or more colorful. When he married his last wife, she was 51 years younger than him. And they had a child a couple of years later.
My Name Is Jack says
Remember when Edwards was pitted against KKK Leader David Duke in his last Gubernatorial victory?
The motto…
Vote For The Crook!
Zreebs says
and Vote for the lizard, not the wizard!
Democratic Socialist Dave says
My brother was living in New Orleans at the time. He said one popular bumper sticker read:
VOTE FOR THE CROOK!
(It’s important.)
But when Gov. Edwards came up for re-election, other bumper stickers read:
VOTE AGAINST THE CROOK !
(It’s important.)
jamesb says
Did they do a refrain in Illinois ?
Zreebs says
James, Do you know what the verb refrain means or for that matter a blazo? I still have no idea what you are asking.
Democratic Socialist Dave says
Zreebs, I speculate that JBF was thinking of “Blago” (ex-Gov. Rod Blagojevich) and used “refrain” when he meant something like “echo”.
jamesb says
Thanks DSD for the spelling check
Zreebs says
James, I have no idea what you are talking about in doing a “refrain” in IL? I assume you had a typo?
jamesb says
Blazo

Singing the same song Z…..

People voted for Blagojevich in Illinois to be reelected even though he was a crook. His opponent was certainly not a Klansman, but a highly respected moderate to socially liberal Republican elected official. After she passed away, Judy Baar Topinka practically has political sainthood status and many Illinois Democrats are understandably guilty for not having voted for her in that election.
But Blagojevich was voted for by Democrats even though they knew he was a crook (must like how many Republicans voted for Trump) because it was all about the pursuit of power and the belief (which turned out accurate) that he could be thrown out of office after being arrested later on and replaced by an even more liberal Democrat.
In regards to Edwards vs Duke, the Democrat (who did not run for reelection in 1995… but later ran for Congress after serving several years in prison….), said that one thing he had in common with Duke is that they were both “wizards under the sheets.”

Thanks CG…….
For the explanation

Ur comments must have had a different url
They are up now

Is Blagojevich a flagged word, and he must be referred to as “Blazo?”

take 2- because moderation in the pursuit of blog justice is no virtue:

“refrain” works in a musical context.”
I had a few paragraph post in which I discussed Blagojevich’s reelection as well as some additional anecdotes about Edwin Edwards, but that post is somehow under moderation. Not sure why.

Wonder what Larry Craig and his wife are doing these days? Apparently his Energy Consulting firm that he set up after retirement shut down.
