I have always felt that no matter what in all the criminal cases against Trump and businesses.
No prosecutor would seek to charge an American President with a crime…
We’ll see….
The NY Times is out with a piece that intimates that the incoming Manhattan District Attorney will have to decide if he asks a sitting grand jury to charge the last US President with crime 0f fraud for lying to his accountants and investors about the worth of his properties and his own worth to get them to invest their money….(The NY State Attorney General and Westchester County NY DA are also looking into Trump real estate deals)
The case would rest most assuredly on Donald Trump’s normal lying and bull shitting in just about everything….
The ‘intent’ to defraud vs his normal operating….
Interesting…
Let’s remember though…
The man is a ‘expert’ at running out the clock on legal stuff….
In fact his lawyers have TONS of legal things going on right now…..
And Trump keep’s trying to sell people he wants top be President again , so he bomb and weave with the cloak of the Presidency to protect him…AGAIN…
Stay tuned….
Whenever Mr. Trump needed a loan, he would provide potential lenders with the statements, which contained optimistic projections about the value of his real estate business as well as sweeping disclaimers noting the numbers’ limitations.
Mr. Vance’s prosecutors found that the accountants who put together the statements relied on underlying information provided by the Trump Organization, Mr. Trump’s family business, according to the people with knowledge of the matter, who were familiar with the questions prosecutors asked and spoke only on condition of anonymity because they were discussing confidential testimony.
The prosecutors, working with the office of the New York State attorney general, Letitia James, have examined the possibility that Mr. Trump and his deputies at the company cherry-picked favorable information — and ignored data that ran counter to it — to essentially mislead the accountants into presenting an overly rosy picture of his finances.
While the numbers could implicate Mr. Trump, disclaimers in the statements that the data had not been audited or authenticated could help his defense, underscoring the challenge that prosecutors face as they grapple with whether to charge the former president…
…
But even the former president’s own notes point to his involvement in determining the values that would be represented.
The value of Trump Tower, the notes said, was based partly on “an evaluation by Mr. Trump.”…
Note …
Would this result in increased back taxes owed til New York State and the US Government?
The US Supreme Court made Trump’s accounts turn over his business records to the DA’s office…

One Last Decision for Manhattan’s Top Prosecutor
Associated Press: “After a dozen years in office, one piece of unfinished business remains for Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr. before he retires at the end of the month: Will the prosecutor known for his caution go out with a bang by bringing criminal charges against Donald Trump?”
“Vance, who has spent more than two years investigating the former president, has been coy about whether he’ll seek Trump’s indictment or leave the decision to the next district attorney, Alvin Bragg, a fellow Democrat who takes over Jan. 1.”
