Jeffrey Clark, a Trump-appointed assistant attorney general, believed Chinese hackers used special thermometers to change votes from Donald Trump to Joe Biden in the 2020 election—and he demanded an intelligence briefing to prove it, CNN reports.
Said Clark, in an email: “Hackers have evidence that a Dominion machine accessed the Internet through a smart thermostat with a net connection trail leading back to China.”

Yep Scott earns the stupid award for today….

I’ll wait for the transcripts to give details, but watching all or part of all five Sunday talk shows (Fox, CNN, ABC, NBC & CBS) today, Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla) should get the Stupid GOP Pol o’day while Cong. Cori Bush (D-Mo) is a very strong contender for Stupid non-GOP Pol of the week. She was basically both emotional and incoherent trying to explain why she needs personal security but supports Defunding the Police who protect everyone else.
Rick Scott’s rather-laughable position on vax & mask mandates was also vulnerable to simple critique by any informed, intelligent 12-year old,
Scott P says
I admire my Representative for her commitment to those who struggle with housing. But she is incredibly tone deaf on the issue of her personal security and doubling down on the awful phrase “defund the police”.
St. Louis has seen homicides drop 30% this year from last and almost 60% have been solved compared to only 36% last year.
The Chief of police for the city credits de-escalation tactics as well as more targeted policing for certain high crime neighborhoods. These efforts were scoffed at by both “back the blue” types who only want to focus on more policing and responding to crime with force and “defund the police” types who didn’t think these reforms go far enough.

BRETT BAIER (Fox News Sunday):
Now, Florida makes up 6.5 percent of the U.S. population. And as the president mentioned, it does account for nearly 22 percent of the
country’s new COVID cases. You have 60 percent of the hospitals saying they could see staffing shortages. You’ve got 187 children in the hospital there in Florida, which is a record down there.
Yet during this time, Governor DeSantis, the Florida governor, signed an
executive order barring school districts from forcing kids and students to
mask up to protect their freedom to choose.
Should he have done that now?
Sen. RICK SCOTT (R-Fla):
Well, first off, I — you know, my — I have a lot of concern for
all the people that have gotten COVID. I had COVID. I get — I — but I —
you know, and I also took the vaccine. If you feel comfortable, I think
everybody ought to get the vaccine and you ought to do whatever you can to
take — make sure your family’s safe.
Here’s what I think government ought to do, give us good information. I
mean here’s what’s been frustrating about this. This — this — since COVID
started it’s been all political. Just give us good information. Americans
are smart. They’ll make good decisions for their families. And we can’t go
back to fear, fear that kills jobs, fear that shuts down schools, fears
that slows everything down because it hurts — it hurts all families.
Here’s what I believe we ought to do at every level of government. Let’s be
honest. If you feel comfortable, get the vaccine. If you don’t, figure out
how you’re going to keep yourself safe. I mean that’s what I believe we
ought to be doing. And I’m going to — I’m going to do everything I can to
tell people, you know, that, you know, I’ve — I’ve been comfortable with
the vaccine. I had COVID. I don’t want anybody to get COVID.
BAIER: Do you think former President Trump and other senior Republicans are doing enough talking about vaccinations and the need for the population to get that to keep people safe?
SCOTT: Well, he — he got the vaccine. I mean I think — I mean I’ve done
everything I can to try to make sure people get — are comfortable getting
the vaccine. I think that’s what every Republican I know is trying to make
sure people get good information and just tell people, you know, if you
feel comfortable, get the vaccine. I mean it — I talked to a good friend
this week that got sick because he didn’t — he didn’t get vaccine and my
heart goes out to him and — and his family. I — I hope no one else gets
sick. It’s — you know, I’ve — I’ve been blessed. I’ve got grandkids. I
don’t want any of them to get sick. So, be careful.
But, you know, get — let people make their choices. This is — you know,
this is not a country where we need people telling us what to do. I love my
mom. I hate her telling me what to do. Give me good information. I’ll make
a good decision….

Talk about a two bit political hack!
He was so confused trying his best not to offend thre anti vaccine Republican virus spreaders that he comes across looking like the spineless clown he is.
What the coward should have said..”Hey dumbasses!Yeah I’m talking to you idiots who haven’tbeen vaccinated.Youre not only a threat to yourself but to those around.Get your head out of the the sand goofball.Get the damn shot!”

What I particularly liked was Bill Scott’s earnest appeal to the health authorities to just provide the facts and not be so political.
… which of course means they so far haven’t been political enough to satisfy Certain People, just as the election authorities were too political and too biased to tell the plain, honest truth about the 2020 Election.

I was fishing (short-term memory impairment) for Sen. Scott’s first name and knew it wasn’t Phil Scott (GOP Gov. of Vermont) or Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC). Of course all I really needed to do was to look at my earlier post, but I must have been subconsciously misled from earlier attempts to distinguish another Florida Senator, Bill Nelson, from Sen. Ben Nelson of Nebraska.

Typical that the evil POS Carlson would consider the soft fascist state of Hungary to be freer than the US.

And for Stupid Non-Republican of the Day (or Week), Cong. Cori Bush (D-Missouri) on CNN’s State of the Union with Dana Bash:
BASH: Congresswoman, I want to ask about the criticism that you’re facing about comments you made in an interview this past week.
I want our viewers to listen.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
BUSH: I’m going to make sure I have security because I know I have had attempts on my life. And I have too much work to do, there are too many people that need help right now for me to allow that.
So, if I end up spending $200,000, if I spend 10 more dollars on it, you know what, I get to be here to do the work. So, suck it up. And defunding the police has to happen. We need to defund the police.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
BASH: So, I know you have seen that Republicans are pointing to the fact that you said you have your own security, while, almost in the same breath, advocating for defunding the police.
Now, I do want to emphasize I understand you have security protection because you have received multiple death threats. But the clip that I displayed is being used in attack ads against not you, but — not just you, but other Democrats.
So, could those comments end up being harmful to your fellow Democrats, politically speaking?
BUSH: I think what we have to look at is the fact that I made it to Congress in 2020, I was elected to Congress, and we are still fighting this same fight. We’re still fighting to save black lives.
That was not — that work was not done before I got here. This is the reason why I ran, was to save lives, to save my son’s life. It was because Michael Brown, who we’re fighting for, and still trying to get justice for. It’s because he didn’t get justice, and Vonderrit Myers didn’t get justice, and Kajieme Powell didn’t get justice, and so many others. That is why.
And because that was not — that was not fixed before I got here, to then come at me and say you’re the reason why we have these problems, no, the reason why we have these problems is because those that were in power and could have fixed this problem before now didn’t and cost — it cost lives.
And so now that I’m here, I — we just — we just introduced the People’s Response Act to make sure that we are looking at the money that — the money that should be going to social safety nets to make sure that our community members who are living with mental health issues are able to function and live in society… BASH: So…
BUSH: … the way that anyone would ask to.
So, I don’t believe — as far as my — as far as my colleagues, I absolutely empathize. I empathize. But you know what? The same thing that the Republicans will do, which is figure out how to work with this on the comms spaces, that’s what we have to do.
My job is to save lives, the lives of my community, because, when we’re when we’re talking about every single year increasing the budget for police, and then the budget for, like, Health and Human Services continuing to shrink, and St. Louis being number one for police violence year after year after year, number one, number two for homicides year and year, after year…
BASH: Congresswoman…
BUSH: So, when we’re adding more money to the police, but we’re still dying.
BASH: Congresswoman, I…
BUSH: So, something has to change.
BASH: Congresswoman, I — yes. And I hear what you’re saying. But I also heard you say that you think it’s a comms problem.
Is it that? Because…
BUSH: No, I’m saying that we can also — that that’s another way that you can tackle this.
You have to tackle it from more than one place. We have to work on what we want to say, what is our message, but then we also have to understand that we have to save lives too. St. Louis can’t keep being put on the back burner. And I’m here to stand up for my community.
BASH: Congresswoman Cori Bush, thank you so much for joining me this morning.
BUSH: Absolutely. Thank you.
