A local New York State newspaper asks that question indirectly….
The Attorney General has been attacked by Cuomo and Co. for the very thing as her office runs a separate investigation of allegations of sexual misconduct against the Governor by several women….
NEWBURGH – Amid widespread speculation that State Attorney General Tish James will seek the Democratic nomination for governor next year, challenging incumbent Democrat Andrew Cuomo, she is keeping tightlipped about it.
While in Newburgh late last week, she made light of the speculation when Mid-Hudson News asked her about it.
“I don’t know who told you that. Where did you hear that from? Right now I am focused on Newburgh and focused o0n getting guns off the street,” she said.
Both James and Newburgh Mayor Torrance Harvey are African American and the mayor was undecided as to who he would support if a Democratic primary pitted James against Cuomo. But, he did say James would be a “very viable” candidate….
Note…
Such a race wouldn’t be VERY interesting….
And draw the expected national media attention…
