It would appear so….
Again?
It’s just about HIM….
NOT his adopted party….
Not really about policy…
Charlie Warzel: “The Trump website is essentially a GoFundMe page for the twice-impeached leader of the Republican Party. The one link that does work is the one that says ‘CONTRIBUTE’ and leads to a nice page where you can give the man your money.”
“There’s also a nice Facebook Pixel tracker on the site that will collect some nice data that can be used to target custom audiences on the platform. Trump’s account is, obviously, banned at the moment, but maybe Trump-adjacent accounts could use this. Or perhaps Trumpworld might sell that dataset to a third party for advertising purposes. Maybe it might be useful later on for a potential campaign.”

Let him fleece the rubes.

I guess it could be argued that it is wiser for the rubes to spend their money on Trump than to spend it on Jimmy Lee Swaggart or crystal meth!
My Name Is Jack says
A fool and his money are soon parted.
Zreebs says
Jack rarely quotes biblical passages as he did here from Proverbs. This might be a first for Jack.

I thought he was quoting Peanuts…LOL
Zreebs says
It looks like I was wrong. Jack was not quoting the Bible after all:

My Name Is Jack says
Yeah it’s just something I’ve heard a lot in life.
My mother used to tell me that when she gave me my dollar a week allowance in the early sixties.
Zreebs says
And you probably used it to buy boiled peanuts! 😊
My Name Is Jack says
Yes!
Haha!
Democratic Socialist Dave says
While checking out a fool and his money in the Canon & Apocrypha, I found this gem of a Proverb, which parallels the oft-repeated but unattibutable saying (not Franklin, not Lincoln, not Mark Twain), “Better to stay silent and be thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt”.
Proverbs 17:28 |
Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding.
Numberless are the examples we could think of from current politics and political history. (Why do some politicians flee the press like the plague?)
