Among the states ARE democratic ones….
The Biden admin WILL have to defend their decision on this Keystone Pipeline XL project….
We now have American Labor (AFL-CIO) and BOTH parties states against the shutdown of the 1,200 mile pipeline….They are about money and jobs now….Not the environment tomorrow….
There IS already a keystone pipeline in operation….
Twenty-one states, led by Texas and Montana, filed suit on Wednesday against President Joe Biden’s decision to revoke the permit for the Keystone XL pipeline — an effort by Republican state attorneys general to combat the new administration’s efforts to address climate change.
Democratic Socialist Dave says
No, James, that is not a bipartisan group of Attorneys-General; it’s basically all the Republican A-G’s with the notable exceptions of Florida’s (Ahley Moodey) and New Hampshire’s (Gordon Macdonald).
See: Republican Attorneys General” (Republican A-Gs’ Ass’n)
Not I (nor Jack nor Zreebs nor Scott nor …) will let you wriggle out of adding above the story “Among the states ARE democratic ones….”
I don’t think anyone would dispute that some knowledgeable Democrats (in office, out of office, or just part of the electorate) in various states favour Keystone XL, just as there are equally-knowledgeable Republicans in various states who oppose it.
But I see no Democratic states as states opposing the Biden administration’s hold on Keystone XL . It’s not uncommon for a Democratic state’s voters to elect a Republican A-G (to keep an eye on everyone else, to balance state government and hopefully to administer justice impartially), just as some Democratic A-G’s serve Republican states. But that wouldn’t mean — in the absence of some other evidence — that the whole state supports the A-G’s suit against the Administration.

I’m glad you posted that DSD .
If I had, James would already have replied with some indecipherable gibberish replete with “Jack?” ,a bevy of capital letter raging and misplaced exclamation marks ,concluded with his well known,”I stand by my point(although what that “point “is remains unknown).
He seems to take criticism from you better.
Often he announces he “agrees” with you, even though you have directly contradicted him .

Nevertheless DSD….
Bipartisan has NO number in it does it?
2 or 10…
When those state AG’s go before the courts they WILL represent ‘their’ states….
I stand by my statement …
In addition….
I also point out that the head of one of the largest national union’s has knocked Biden on the move….
Finally?
I point to the issue or jobs and revenue ….
But the REAL problem for Biden will be this….
…..’Some moderate Democratic lawmakers also have urged Biden to reverse his decision, including Sens. Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Jon Tester of Montana.’….
Link…
Them two guys don’t qualify for the bipartisan part, right guys?
Gotta think ‘outside the box’….
Gonna be interesting to see where this ends up….
Cause it ain’t over yet….

I should point out that Native Americans and some in Canada are AGAINST this second pipeline project….

Update….
Canadian pipeline company TC Energy said on Wednesday it was formally ending its bid to build the Keystone XL pipeline project, bringing the long-running battle over its construction to an end 13 years after it was first proposed.
For nearly its entire history, the project had been at the center of the fight over climate change, and environmentalists had used it as a rallying cry in their campaign to block major new oil developments….

Sorry James
Know how eager you were to see Big Oil despoil some more of the environment.
Don’t worry though.
There’s plenty more to come from them.
You’ll have plenty of opportunities to cheer them on even though,to your and your Republican friends chagrin, fossil fuels continue a steady decline as a source of power (even the oil companies concede this) .
As the years go by ,your and your Republican friends mantra of “ drill, drill ,drill” will become more and more of an anachronism .
However, I’m quite sure your hatred of moves to improve the environment,(who can forget your “let’s move on” after the worst environmental disaster in history of this country, the Gulf BP spill) will continue and your romance with “drill drill drill”will still be ringing in our ears for years to come.

He also wants, like almost all Republicans, to move on from January 6th, it’s “in the rear window” don’t you know.
Our democracy is under attack by an entire party, but things are fine.

Like the last 300 years….
America will get thru this….
I have faith….
And…
I see the reality of the GOPer’s efforts
jamesb says
Thanks for there sorry Jack….
Yes….
I thought this would not happen….
We’ll have to just live with the original Keystone pipeline
