Whatever the reason for this drop,vaccinations are playing no part and won’t for awhile yet.
Further ,with new “variants” which may be more transmissible ,this may be temporary .

Probably just less gatherings than the twin holidays of Christmas and New Years…
I hope these numbers hover around under 200K and by march get right below 100K…then we will be on a good foundation to push into the outdoor activities of the spring and summer and then by then the vaccine will have had time to distribute to the elderly..,
I am not elderly but since working in law enforcement I got my first shot Friday, no real side effects with the exception of injection site soreness for a day or two (I got the Moderna Vaccine)
