I’m watching the pile on on top of the Washington DC Capitol Police….
But I’m beginning to get a bit annoyed….
Yes they failed to hold the Capital from the bums rush the Trump inspired mob dropped on them…
Yes some of their people have been shown being ‘chummy’ with the ‘protestors’…
Yes their chief is probably gonna be looking for a new job…
But something IS missing here….
The images of yesterdays action shows what appears to bee HUNDREDS of people in and about the scene…
The Capitol Police have about 2,000 cops…
At any given time maybe 100 to 200 are on duty…
They are spread out in different places…
My question is?
Why didn’t they have the help they got AFTER the siege BEFORE?
We saw Wash DC Metro Cops…
We saw FBI Spec Ops people…
We saw National Guard people…
We saw Maryland and Virginia Spec Ops people…
Why did NO OTHER Domestic (Homeland) Intelligence agencies provide warning to the Capitol Police or other law enforcement agencies ?

This WAS a complete failure in the whole spectrum of law enforcement in the Washington DC Federal agencies…
On January 20th?
One would hope there will be a better plan in effect…
The local cops will need as much help as they can….

I agree with your gripe, but I would say more accurately, it was a failure of law enforcement leadership not so much with law enforcement itself…as you pointed out where was all the help to stop this from starting…that comes from orders and directives from the top brass of law enforcement…did they want to see this happen? were they afraid to anger the President so they didn’t put out a large contingent of boots on the ground to keep the peace? Are there budget constraints? Did they underestimate what they thought might happen? Was it a double standard cause it was 99% white Americans protesting?
Probably was all those reasons and more…
I think the simple reason was more of what I stated….

In that “we can handle it” is one of my suggestions that they underestimated the group, also that there was a double standard cause they were white Americans coming to protest. As we all have said if this was a BLM protest at the capital…the Navy Seals in Full fatigues would have been out there…I am exaggerating, but you get my point…

The other agencies are already dropping ‘chaff’ against media shots….
Let’s see if the ‘Congress’ will actually let the Capitol Police do their jobs and help them at it…..
