It seems that Trump is STILL after the CIA and other agencies to declassify info on his 2016 election win….(Senator’ of both parties are standing behind CIA Director Haspel’s efforts to contest Trump’s actions)
In doing so?
President Trump would be look to make himself appear better as he leave office as the expense of ‘soures and methods’ of how secret intelligence is collected….
The public release of the information could shut down intelligence channels with others countries, expose information sources and possibly put lives in danger…
The President of the United Staes has the right to declassify anything he wants….Trump knows things that would be of value to his buddy Russian President Putin….
So…. As we have had in other instances…
We have a US government organisation fighting against its President for the safety and good of the country, not the President’s ego…..

President Trump’s senior military and intelligence officials have been warning him strongly against declassifying information about Russia that his advisers say would compromise sensitive collection methods and anger key allies.
CIA Director Gina Haspel last month argued strongly at a White House meeting against disclosing the information, because she believed that doing so would violate her pledge to protect sources and methods, a senior congressional source said. This official said a bipartisan group of Republican and Democratic senators has been trying to protect Haspel, though some fear that Trump may yet oust her….

Senate Republicans, who might stop the post-election revenge campaign, face a growing tension between Trump’s demands and the country’s interests. The senior congressional source described it this way: “How much do you stay quiet during the tantrum period? What damage will it do to national security? That’s a real-time discussion that’s going on.”
Trump will depart the White House Jan. 20, barring an unlikely legal miracle. The question is how much damage he will do to national security before he leaves.

Lankford Says Biden Must Get Intelligence Briefings
Sen. James Lankford (R-OK) told KRMG that if President-elect Joe Biden doesn’t have access to intelligence briefings by Friday then he will get involved.
Said Lankford: “I can assure you there will be a peaceful transition of power in the United States.”

Revealing sources and methods not only risks their usefulness, but the lives, freedom and safety of human sources and agents. V. Putin (ex-KGB) has not shown himself tolerant of his agents talking publicly about their work or knowledge.
