The FBI has thwarted a plot by a Michigan militia group to kidnap and assassinate Gov. Gretchen Whitmer — and overthrow the state government.
At least five people are expected to be arraigned Thursday following a series of raids in Wexford County and Hartland last night, local reporter Eric Lloyd tweeted.
“Several members talked about murdering ‘tyrants’ or ‘taking’ a sitting governor,” an FBI agent wrote in the affidavit revealed by The Detroit News.
“The group decided they needed to increase their numbers and encouraged each other to talk to their neighbors and spread their message.”
The raids were linked to an ongoing investigation into the death of a Detroit man killed during a shootout with FBI agents, the local reports said….

Why do you think Reagan quoted FDR so much when he first ran? He knew what he was doing.
