Some Governor’s stepped up to the plate and addressed the crisis…
They have been successful in curtailing the virus in their states…
Donald Trump did NOT….
Just like he hasn’t dealt with most everything as President…
Trump Wasted the Sacrifice of the Shutdown
“President Trump — who has repeatedly downplayed the virus, sidelined experts and misled Americans about its dangers and potential cures — now finds his presidency wracked by an inability to shepherd the country through its worst public health calamity in a century,” the Washington Post reports.
“The dysfunction that has long characterized Trump’s White House has been particularly ill-suited for a viral outbreak that requires precision, focus and steady leadership.”
New York Times: “More than four months into fighting the coronavirus in the United States, the shared sacrifice of millions of Americans suspending their lives — with jobs lost, businesses shuttered, daily routines upended — has not been enough to beat back a virus whose staying power around the world is only still being grasped.”
Wall Street Journal: U.S. coronavirus cases hit another daily record.

GOP Governor Wants Consistent Message on Masks
Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson (R) told MSNBC there needs to be a “consistent national message” from President Trump on wearing face masks during the coronavirus pandemic.
Said Hutchinson: “A consistent national message supporting the importance of wearing a mask and social distancing is very important to making sure everybody understands the importance of it. Nothing beats leadership. Certainly it’s important to convey the importance of that.”

The Measures to Protect Trump from Coronavirus
CNN: “As he seeks to insert rival Joe Biden’s health into the presidential campaign, Trump has voiced escalating concern about how it would appear if he contracted coronavirus and has insisted on steps to protect himself, even as he refuses to wear a mask in public and agitates for large campaign rallies where the virus could spread.”
“When he travels to locations where the virus is surging, every venue the President enters is inspected for potential areas of contagion by advance security and medical teams, according to people familiar with the arrangements. Bathrooms designated for the President’s use are scrubbed and sanitized before he arrives. Staff maintain a close accounting of who will come into contact with the President to ensure they receive tests.”

The fact that a fairly large part of the Republican Party believes the worst of the Coronavirus crisis is over ,when it demonstrably isn’t ,really says all one needs to know about the state of that party presently.
They are ,to a large extent, no longer even rational.

THIS IS THE MAIN REASON Trump should be gone….
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said on Sunday that she’s unclear as to what “the Russians have on” President Trump, but added that it must have swayed his administration not to take action after U.S. intelligence learned that Moscow spies offered bounties to Afghan militants to kill U.S. troops.
Pelosi said during an interview on ABC’s “This Week” that throughout Trump’s presidency he has ignored allegations against misdeeds committed by Russia, but that the new reports on bounties “is as bad as it gets.”
“This is as bad as it gets, and yet the president will not confront the Russians on this score, denies being briefed,” Pelosi said. “I don’t know what the Russians have on the president, politically, personally, financially, or whatever it is, but he wants to ignore, he wants to bring them back to the G-8 despite the annexation of Crimea and invasion of Ukraine.”…

While Heaven knows how little I support either the pre-democratic USSR or Putin’s post-democratic Russian Federation, I was forced to wonder if, when the USA was supporting Taliban efforts to oust Afghan Communists and the Red Army, the CIA ever offered such bounties to mujahadeen for killing or capturing Soviet soldiers.
If Putin or the Russian intelligence apparatus believes so, it’s little wonder that they might try to do the same with GI’s.

Good question DSD…
But I DO believe that there are actually some rules the intel community world wide live by….

The US did support the mujagadeen during the Soviet occupation.
The difference is That Trump Admires Putin and wants to invite Russia to join the G-7. It was very clear to US presidents in the early 80s that the Soviet Union was our enemy.

As you remember, after the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan in 1979, the U.S. (under Jimmy Carter) and many other countries boycotted the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow (which the Soviet bloc repaid by staying away from Los Angeles four years later).
