President & National:
Jorgensen, Libertarian Party: The Libertarian Party has nominated its ticket of unknowns. 1996 VP nominee and psychology professor Jo Jorgensen (L) won the nomination for President in a mild upset over front-runner Jacob Hornberger (L). Blogger and free pony advocate, and Vermin Supreme’s former running mate, Spike Cohen (L) received the VP nomination.
AZ-Pres: Highground Consultants have Biden leading Trump 47-45 in Arizona.
MD-Pres: Gonzales has Biden leading 59-35 in Maryland. Gov. Larry Hogan (R) has a 78/18 approval rating,
MN-Pres: Mason-Dixon for Minnesota Public Radio and KARE-TV has Biden leading Trump 49-44 in Minnesota.
UT-Pres: Salt this to taste but Y2 Analytics for KUTV-TV has Trump leading Biden just 44-41 in Utah….

It’s worth noting the states where Trump is spending money are all states he won in 2016. Some like Iowa and Ohio he won by 8 or 9 points.
Despite his campaign’s occasional bravado about being able to flip NV, NM, CO and MN none of those states seem remotely in reach of a change this year (the MN poll is somewhat close, but it may be an outlier)
The campaign seems to admit it will be shedding Electoral votes this time around, it is just working on deciding which ones they want to work to keep.
Obama won two fewer states (plus one fewer congressional district) in 2012 than he did in 2008–but he had more electoral votes to spare. Obama won a much bigger victory both times around than Trump did in 2016,
This is a scenario where Trump’s own chest thumping that his 2016 victory was some sort of landslide is working against his campaign this time around. They are adding nothing and only working on stopping the blood loss. In his mind and in the mind of his cult like Republican followers he has plenty of room for error. He does not.

I KNOW I’ll get beat up on this…
But it’s almost like Trump is working to NOT get elected by trying to repeat 2016 when things ain’t the same?

The Republicans voter suppression campaign will expand to challenge mail in ballot results in some states they are targeting. Nevada is becoming one of those states. Nevada’s ex AG, a Koch benefactor, went on Fox news to talk about the mishandling of mail-in ballots. In MN, Republicans control the state senate; in CO, NV and NM both state bodies are controlled by Democrats.

I’ll go to the streets to keep Republican hands from discounting votes.
I’ll fight even for those once and future Republicans who are throwing away their votes again this year rather than vote for the one candidate who can defeat Trump. As dumb as that may be their votes should still count.

You won’t have to Scott….
Just get people to vote….
Biden and the lawyers will do the rest….

Texas seems too be a bit unique…
Mail in voting in one or another is in a lost half of the 50 states….

Keep in mind Trump won Missouri by 18 pts in 2016
