This is the first GOOD news for Joe Biden in a LONG while….
(Yea, Second place IS GOOD news for Biden who has been continually counted out in the media)
(And may last if he wins South Carolina as expected and goes into Super Tuesday with a a ‘bounce’ maybe?…There is another debate Tuesday in South Carolina )
He needed a what he expected and called….
And he’ll get some delegates ….
Bernie Sanders in first gets 10+ as I type this….
Pete Buttigieg is trailing Biden and may or may not get any delegates due to the 15% threshold for getting any….The others running will NOT get any..They are in the single digits…
Sanders is at 47.1 % right now with about 12% of the Nevada caucus vote outstanding ….
Biden is at 20.9%….
This vote probably shapes up to be what the story will be about for the next two weeks….
Sanders vs Biden….
Former Vice President Joe Biden will finish second in the Nevada Democratic presidential caucuses, NBC News projected Sunday night, and will likely earn seven national convention delegates.
The second-place finish, added to the endorsement of South Carolina’s top Democrat, Rep. Jim Clyburn — which will come Wednesday, NBC News has learned — will give Biden momentum heading into this week’s South Carolina primary.
Biden had polled 20.9 percent of the votes in Nevada with nearly 88 percent of precincts reporting. Biden will finish well behind Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., who had 47.1 percent on Sunday evening. Pete Buttigieg, the former mayor of South Bend, Indiana, was third, with 13.6 percent.
Candidates have to hit 15 percent both statewide and in congressional districts to receive a share of Nevada’s 36 pledged delegates to the Democratic National Convention. Buttigieg’s statewide total remained beneath the threshold.
Biden started the Democratic campaign as the front-runner, but after stumbles in Iowa and New Hampshire, he had raised the stakes for Nevada and South Carolina amid heightened concerns about the stability of his candidacy. The outcome in Nevada could buttress the campaign’s argument that he has unique appeal with minority communities, especially moving forward to what Biden once considered his “firewall” in South Carolina….

Sanders beat Biden 2 to 1…..
But Biden carried the majority of the Black voters which is South Carolina and most of the Southern States….
He should get a little bounce…
If he can keep his act together and have a decent debate this week ?
Along with Clyburn?
He should have a good South Carolina win a with a bounce going 3 days later into Super Tuesday…
Yes Bernie still leads…
I KNOW….
But it’s those two ….
Warren and Klobuchar should be gone after Super Tuesday and maybe Buttgieg….
For me at least…
That should throw the moderate vote back to mostly Biden….
You notice there has scant mention of Bloomberg and Steyer in the last 48 hours, eh?
Scott P says
Steyee was in 1st place in that one oddball Nevada poll.
As to Bloomberg there hasn’t been mention of him because he wasn’t on the ballot in NV nor will he be in SC.
