Apparently unlike ole’ Joe Biden?
The ‘Bern’s’ age and health are NOT an issue…
Not even after a heart attack…
Or much of anything else….
Here’s a list of the stuff the guy us or has taken,,,,,
The campaign also released additional medical information about Sanders beyond his heart health, saying that in the past he has been treated for “gout, hypereholesterolemia, diverticulitis, hypothyroidism, laryngitis secondary to esophageal reflux, lumbar strain, and complete removal of superficial skin lesions.”
According to materials released by his campaign, Sanders has taken atorvastatin, aspirin, clopidogrel, levothyroxine and lisinopril on a daily basis, and has in the past been treated for a cyst on his vocal cord and two hernias….

Zreebs says
Speaking for myself, I am much more concerned about a candidate’s mental health than physical health. And Sanders appears to be as sharp as ever.
I agree that ones overall health should be a consideration for the presidency. And all things being equal, we should prefer candidates under 65 for this job. Advantage: Klobuchar.
CG says
Mental health over physical health…
That’s all fine and dandy until someone might sadly croak suddenly due to a health problem and Vice President Tulsi Gabbard has to take over.
My Name Is Jack says
The difference between Bernie and Joe?
Well both look old(they are) but Joe acts old .Bernie doesn’t.
Keith says
I just saw Bernie up close this week in Oakland. While I agree with you that Joe looks old, so does Bernie.
It doesn’t concern you that Sanders won’t release his medical records?
jamesb says
Shhhhhhh!
Don’t say this out loud Keith!
The Bern ie people will be on your case!
My Name Is Jack says
Who are the “Bern “ people here James?
Are they the “hundreds” who visit here daily?
Shhhhh!You might scare them away!
jamesb says
Not here Jack….
But as i just pointed out…
Across the known universe
including some among the hundreds that visit here
My Name Is Jack says
So those “among the hundreds” who are so vocal were so intimidated by Keith’s statement that they didn’t respond?
I see I see.
My Name Is Jack says
I said they “both” look old.
Keith says
Yes, Jack you sure did. But, I don’t think Bernie acts very young either. I find the pointing and hand gestures to be particularly off putting and very much like my old Jewish great uncle who left us last year at 103.
I find Bernie’s attraction to some younger voters very hard to understand given the fact that I expect them to be more likely to research a candidate’s positions and determine if their proposals are workable or not.
I had a late night discussion with Zreebs about Bernie’s health care proposal, we both must have had insomnia, and I expressed my concern that he hasn’t explained how he will pay for or implement his proposal.
I expect younger voters, perhaps naively, to look into these massive promises because they will have to pay them at the end of the day.
I also have to admit that I really haven’t paid much attention to this proposal by Bernie because it will go the same way all his legislative proposals have gone.
jamesb says
Yea Keith…..
I whole heartily agree with u on Sanders which look at with gloom….
It’s the party could be waking off a cliff with Trump laughing at the fall….
jamesb says
Many of the Bern supporters have no idea what they supporting…
And yes again guys
Bernie will NEVER be able to build a America for FREE paid for by middle class tax cuts…
CG says
As the resident “young person” here, I declare all of Bernie’s plans to be somewhere on the scale of unworkable to un-American.
Thank you for allowing me that opportunity.
CG says
Bernie does this thing at debates where he can’t hear the question and he uses his hand to point his ear out to the person speaking (as if that really helps) that reminds me exactly of my grandfather.
And I can’t help but think that Biden campaigning with a sense of sadness around him sort of reminds me of my grandfather (once a gregarious personality) when he started getting sick.
CG says
But in regards to one of Keith’s criticisms of Bernie..
All Jewish people use their hands to talk. Italians too.
My Name Is Jack says
In my view, his reluctance release those records obviously means that there is something in there he doesn’t want known.
Probably medical opinions that a 78 year old man engaging in an arduous campaign for President isnt a great idea.
Then again, I really don’t need medical records to figure that out myself.
jamesb says
like Trump?
Bernie don’t have to answer
Keith says
It’s insane actually. Because the Trump people will do to Bernie what they did to Hillary when she came down with pneumonia. By the time they are done with him the world will think he’s on death’s door. Refusing to release those medical records is both stupid and arrogant. And, it most likely means he’s hiding something.
CG says
A Sanders spokesperson went on tv and falsely alleged that Michael Bloomberg had “heart attacks.” Not true. Sanders never seems to hold anyone accountable for things said by people associated with him though.
Hopefully tonight, Bloomberg can endure the white-hot hatred that will be directed towards him and stand up for Democratic Capitalism. It’s possible he will have a rough night if he not ready for what will come at him. If that happens, with each passing day it will be looking more and more like a Sanders nomination and with that a likely Trump second term.
Democrats need to learn the lesson that anti-Trump Republicans learned the hard way four years ago and learn it quick…
jamesb says
It;’s gonna get nasty between the two them….
The others will be standing on the sideline….
Could just hurt both of them and have Dem’s turn away from them in the next week or so?
jamesb says
Republicans have to licking their chops over all of this….
CG says
The inevitable Sanders vs. Bloomberg battle for the heart and soul of America will be quite an experience for the Jewish people.
CG says
This headline makes it sound like Bernie had a drug problem. Probably not fair. He likely hasn’t smoked weed since he was Mayor.
(I can joke and say he is the first elderly Jewish person I have ever seen to not want to talk in detail about all their health problems)
jamesb says
He had NOT….
Nor do i day he does….
CG says
I’m sure all of us here are taking meds at our ages.
jamesb says
He, he, he
Yes …..
Scott P says
Biden, Sanders and Bloomberg may all be 3-4 years older than Trump. But unlike him none of them are obese.
jamesb says
Yes Scott
CG says
Trump is emaciated compared to my Governor (and at least one other one)
CG says
He’s very poor financially compared to him too.
CG says
I wonder how Zreebs would respond to this piece
https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2020/02/19/will-democrats-stand-up-bully-their-own-side/
jamesb says
The piece connects to my point on the guy who at times seems to have more in common with Trump then the party he’s pimping….
CG says
A basket of Bernie Bros might be pretty deplorable.
My Name Is Jack says
Trump isn’t a Republican.
Sanders isn’t a Democrat.
So sayeth James and others.
The problem? The Republicans nominated Trump and quite apparently overwhelmingly support him.
The Democrats may nominate Sanders.
Moral?Whether one is “really” a (fill in the blank) ?Is a total irrelevance in today’s political world and that subject is now reserved for obscure political discussions like here.
The people who identify themselves as Democrats or Republicans seemingly couldn’t care less about such esoteric debates about who is what.
CG says
and you can add Bloomberg as well to the “not really a Democrat” thing. Biden is attacking Bloomberg for having endorsed Republicans in the past.
All of this shows the likelihood of political civil war in both parties. The surprising part is that the Democrat all out conflict may actually happen first.
