There was a lot of foolishness on this thread yesterday that basically boiled down to CG stating that politicians he doesn’t like benefit from prejudices of others–but ones he likes do not. Like I said. Silly.
It’s just a distraction from the fact that the Republican Party is about to acquit Trump buying into OJ and Epstein’s lawyer’s belief that anything a President does to get reelected is legal and therefore unimpeachable.
Voting for the one person who can defeat Donald Trump–the Democratic nominee whoever he or she is–is more important now than ever. Not voting for the eventual nominee is of course one’s choice and I won’t use terms like “loyal” or “disloyal”. But if you are serious about removing Trump that is the only option.
For anyone who cares I will vote for Amy Klobuchar if she is still in the race on March 10 when Missouri votes. If she is not I will support Biden or Buttigieg as I am almost 100% certain one of those will be in the race at that time if Amy is not. I will happily support whoever the nominee is in November as I see it is the only choice we have to save this country.
If neither you or I act politically out of prejudice, they we should recognize the problem doesn’t apply to us. However, it does exist and for only one party to be blamed is foolish.
I would argue that universal dislike of Democrats is a form of prejudice, something that a 20 plus year voting record underscores in all State and Federal elections.
I don’t have the luxury of sitting at a work computer trying to avoid boredom. Too much to do. But I would say two things: the modern Republican Party is built on a racial divide and we need look no further than the current Republican President for confirmation of this fact.
But hey, someday the Republicans might nominate a woman. Right Ivanka Trump.

On the contrary, you are someone who shares almost all the same positions as Democrats and are proud to say you will vote for *any* Democrat that gets nominated this year, including Sanders, Warren, Gabbard, whomever. You would vote for a cardboard donkey if it were nominated against Trump (and that’s fine.)

I’ve continued to say that I am a Republican but I am not a Republican member of the U.S. Senate. Thus, my “fellow Republicans” in the Senate is very much a misnomer. So is lumping me in, as a non-Trump supporter, as “you guys” with Trump supporters when there is clearly a difference.
Trump has Democrat supporters as well. Even though you are certainly a Democrat, despite your odd reluctance to admit so (I remember you spent years denying on P1 that you were from South Carolina before finally admitting it.) I would not say refer to you as being part of a group of Trump supporters.
There are about 5 or 6 people that regular post here. My political beliefs tend to be fairly different than anyone else (with their also being issues I agree with others on), so I hardly think it is a problem for me to refer to the other 5 or so as “you guys” in a political context.
To be more politically correct, I will intend to follow the example of Ross Perot and say “you people” from here on out.

Tonight it is clear that the Republican Party has completely sold out to Trump, they are in his control save the few Senators that will vote for witnesses. We will now have a shame trial and quick acquittal by a Republican Party that has decided to ignore the rule of law, the need for witnesses. and a thorough investigation of the President’s illegal actions. Are you happy about that Corey? What is you opinion of all these Republicans rolling over and putting their legs up the air for Trump? Will you overlook their complicit behavior? Would you ever vote for them again for any office?
Do you actually think that after four more years of Trump that your Party will look anything like it did during the salad days of George W. Bush when they only lied about things like starting a war. Trump will be unleashed because it will take 67 Senators to remove him from office, and we all know that won’t happen. The power of the Presidency will grow expediently and his family will only grow richer.
