…from the WSJ….
Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach trails Democrat Barry Grissom by 10 percentage points in a head-to-head matchup for Kansas’ open Senate seat in 2020, according to internal GOP polling data reviewed by The Wall Street Journal.
The previously unpublished findings reveal why some Republicans are deeply concerned that a Kobach candidacy could cost the party a Senate seat in Kansas—and why Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has been pushing so hard for Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, a former congressman from Wichita, to challenge Mr. Kobach for the GOP nomination.
“It’s laughable that anyone is taking seriously a poll on a hypothetical match-up conducted 18 months before the election and prior even to Secretary Kobach’s entry into the race,” said Steve Drake, Mr. Kobach’s campaign manager. ..

Can’t believe the Republicans are going to nominate this guy again.

I doubt they will.

New Hampshire Republicans may get to pass electoral judgment on Trump cultist Corey Lewandowski who has admitted to being a Liar
Now I know politicians lie, but rare does one admit such before aCongressional committee as they prepare to run for the US Senate.

Trump Republicans CAN lie with impunity because Trump owns the McConnell and the US Senate …..
it’s THAT simple…

The Kansas suburbs of Kansas City–namely Johnson County–are becoming quite competitive for Democrats. They elected a Democratic Congresswimam last year(Sharice David’s–a former MMA fighter). That area uaed to be Republican as the rest of KS.
That being said Kobach is probably the only Republican who could lose a Senate race in that state.
CG says
Actually, that seat in the KC area had been held by Democrats more often than by Republicans.
Held by Dennis Moore, etc. It has always been the most Democrat district in KS.
Scott P says
That is true. The district includes Wyandotte County which is more urban, industrial and traditionally Democrat. Which helped Dems win the district even as more affluent Johnson County voted heavily GOP
JoCo is now trending Democrat as many suburban areas are.

If the Kansas seat and just a few other previous GOP held US Senate seats fall?
The GOOer’s ARE gonna be a world of shit…..
After Trump?
I’d think it won’t be like 2009/2010 was for Obama and the Dem majority….Although ANYTHING IS possible ….
