Most of us thought the Monmouth Poll out yesterday was a outlier….
It was….
Joe Biden has widened his lead over two progressive senators in a new poll released Tuesday, giving the former vice president much better news a day after another survey found his advantage slipping.
A new Morning Consult poll showed Biden with 33% support for the Democratic presidential nomination, extending his lead by 2 percentage points since the last poll conducted a week ago. Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont came in second with 20%, followed by Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts with 15%. Both senators maintained their numbers since last week’s poll.
The Morning Consult survey comes a day after Monmouth University’s poll showed Biden losing ground and landing in a virtual three-way tie with Sanders and Warren. The senators each clinched 20%, followed by Biden with 19%. While it was a big drop for the former vice president, his campaign described Monmouth’s survey as an “outlier” with a small sample size. Morning Consult uses a vastly larger sample size in its polling….
Note….
In the Morning Consult poll Bernie Sanders come in second and Elizabeth Warren 3rd…
Warren 5% behind Sanders….
The media narrative has been steady Warren for the last few weeks….
But in the Consult poll and Real Clear Politics have Sanders in second…
Is the Warren narraitve in the media correct?
