Obviously —and you should know this, James— a difference of 0.4% is insignificant and well within any margin of error. Especially this far out, it means nothing.
All one can deduce from the snapshot is that Biden has a significant lead; Warren, Sanders and Harris are clustered together behind him at around 15 %; and at the moment, everyone else is irrelevant (as Sanders was for a long time).

For those of u who keep saying it’s early for the 2020 campaign?
I just saw a story about campaign ‘boots in the ground’ in Iowa…
The numbers mentioned where for Sanders and over 40 people…
It’s NOT THAT early…
The votes are only about 7 months away….

Its very early and, despite what we talk about here, the Vast majority of people are not presently paying much attention to the presidential race.
And therein lies a problem for Biden .
His numbers in these early polls are driven as much by name ID as anything else.As evidence, his numbers dropped precipitously among those viewing the debate, thus confirming that, among those paying attention ,his support is not that strong.
Fortunately for him ,and contrary to your assertion,it is early and he still maintains a reservoir of support among those not paying close attention at this time due to his long service.
His task is to stabilize his support among those paying attention and solidifying his support among those fringe people who will start to pay more attention as time goes on.
