Trump IS gonna keep at this because he’s getting push from his Right leaners to keep at it….
That…
And he KNOWS most Democrats want this to go away…
President Trump on Sunday doubled down on his attacks against a group of minority congresswomen, saying that they should “apologize” to the United States for the things they have said.
“I don’t believe the four Congresswomen are capable of loving our Country,” Trump said in an early morning tweet. “They should apologize to America (and Israel) for the horrible (hateful) things they have said. They are destroying the Democrat Party, but are weak & insecure people who can never destroy our great Nation!”
The comments from Trump come a week after he sparked an uproar by telling the four freshman House Democrats — Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (N.Y.), Ilhan Omar (Minn.), Rashida Tlaib (Mich.) and Ayanna Pressley (Mass.) — to “go back” to the “crime infested places” they came from before speaking out about U.S. policies. Omar is the only one of the four born outside the U.S…..
A new CBS News poll finds 59% of Americans disagree with what President Trump said in his tweets last week about four Democratic congresswomen of color, including 44% who disagree strongly with what he said.
But 40% of the country agrees with what Trump said.
Vice President Mike Pence skipped an opportunity to strongly condemn racist “send her back” chants a crowd shouted during a rally for President Donald Trump last week, instead saying he “wasn’t pleased” with the rhetoric.
“The president wasn’t pleased about it,” Pence told CBS News’ Major Garrett in an interview for “The Takeout” podcast set to be released Tuesday. “Neither was I. The president’s been very clear about that.”…
President Trump’s own top aides didn’t think he fully understood what he had done last Sunday, when he fired off a trio of racist tweets before a trip to his golf course.
After he returned to the White House, senior adviser Kellyanne Conway felt compelled to tell him why the missives were leading newscasts around the country, upsetting allies and enraging opponents. Calling on four minority congresswomen — all citizens, three born in the United States — to “go back” to the “totally broken and crime infested places from which they came” had hit a painful historical nerve.
Trump defended himself. He had been watching “Fox & Friends” after waking up. He wanted to elevate the congresswomen, as he had previously discussed with aides. The Democratic lawmakers — Reps. Ayanna Pressley (Mass.), Ilhan Omar (Minn.), Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (N.Y.) and Rashida Tlaib (Mich.) — were good foils, he had told his advisers, including campaign manager Brad Parscale. The president said he thought he was interjecting himself into Democratic Party politics in a good way. …
“The squad” does have many problems. Its members are inexperienced. They are stars on social media more than they are serious legislators. They are not willing to listen and learn. They want to reshape America in the most radical way, from abolishing the Department of Homeland Security to eliminating farting cows. Outside of their far-left base, what they stand for is deeply unpopular with mainstream Americans.
Trump won the 2016 election not primarily because he was liked, but because many voters disliked his Democratic opponent, Hillary Clinton, even more. Today, Trump is wildly popular with his base, but he still has high unfavorable ratings with the general public. If he can show the American people that his Democratic challenger is even worse, he will win again.
Pelosi, recognizing what Trump is doing and the danger if he succeeds, has tried hard not to let “the squad” become the face of the Democratic Party. But she has no support from either “the squad” or the left-leaning media.
Additionally, “the squad” has doubled down on radical rhetoric and unpopular policies. While the spotlight was on them, Omar and Tlaib, both of whom have made plenty of anti-Semitic comments in the past, were among House members who introduced a new “pro-boycott” resolution, which offers support to the anti-Semitic Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement. Both Omar and Tlaib insist they support democracy, but they want to boycott Israel, the only democracy in the Middle East.
True to its nickname, “the squad” has been shooting at everyone, including fellow Democrats, and especially Pelosi. Ocasio-Cortez accused Pelosi of “singling out newly elected women of color” prior to Trump’s tweet….
Note….
I do NOT offen agree with Fox News….
But the above is something that they seem to have close to right….
The ‘Squad’ is NOT helping Democrats and their 2020 choices even though it is their right to say what they want…..
Will Democrats repeat 2016 and help Donald Trump get narrowly elected…AGAIN?

Like J Street and a lot of other people who want to restore the search for a two-state solution for Israel/Palestine/Gaza, I really do not support BDS (Boycott, Divest and Sanction) of Israel (the Jewish settlements in Palestine, many built specifically to thwart Palestinian sovereignty) are another question).
This puts me at odds with Democratic Socialists of America, to which both AOC and I belong, whose last national convention overwhelmingly endorsed BDS.]
However, it’s a huge, unjustifiable leap to call BDS (many of whose leaders and members are themselves Jewish) “anti-Semitic”. Opposing the present government and policies of the State of Israel is in no way equivalent to hatred, fear and oppression of all Jews (or, for that matter, all Iaraeli Jews).

Jared has tried to offer money for peace
THAT fell flat
Trump has played solely to Israel….
Not a good look
Bibi even has his own internal political and family criminal problems…
The settlements was away for Sharon to cement the high ground….
Franky?
THE PROBLEM ISN’T EVER gonna get settled
Even the Arabs don’t want the Palestians who where kicked out of Jordan back in the day….
In general?
Trump has NO real foreign policy
and does’t give a shit….

His foreign policy, like his domestic policy, is simple (in fact simplistic): anything that the Obama/Biden presidency did — most especially any policy or accomplishment when Crookèd Hillary was Secretary of State — should be reversed 180 degrees, the JCPOA, the 6-Power deal with North Korea, the Paris Accords, keeping the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem, allowing a Palestinian Authority office in Washington, opening up relations with & travel to Cuba, supporting NATO & the E.U., championing human rights regardless of the country, staying away from the Shia-Sunni conflict, supporting (relative) moderates in Iran, etc., etc.
But, like his knee-jerk opposition to Obamacare (particularly infuriating because it was Obama’s signature accomplishment), the negative did not mean he had a positive, constructive, useful alternative overseas solution.
Democratic Socialist Dave says
Sorry I meant that Trump reversed keeping the U.S, Embassy in Tel Aviv

The latest in presidential wisdom (following his announcement that Lara Lee Trump (Everywoman) is launching Women for Trump):
Big progress at the Border, but Dems in Congress must change the Immigration Laws for all to be good! End the Loopholes and much more.
The Washington Post Story, about my speech in North Carolina and tweet, with its phony sources who do not exist, is Fake News. The only thing people were talking about is the record setting crowd and the tremendous enthusiasm, far greater than the Democrats. You’ll see in 2020!
Presidential Harassment!
MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!
I don’t believe the four Congresswomen are capable of loving our Country. They should apologize to America (and Israel) for the horrible (hateful) things they have said. They are destroying the Democrat Party, but are weak & insecure people who can never destroy our great Nation!
Congratulations to Bibi @Netanyahu on becoming the longest serving PM in the history of Israel. Under your leadership, Israel has become a technology powerhouse and a world class economy….
….Most importantly you have led Israel with a commitment to the values of democracy, freedom, and equal opportunity that both our nations cherish and share!
