Focusing just on NOT being ‘weak’…..
Donald Trump has backed away from his family separation policy that has eaten up virtually ALL of the media oxygen for the last week or so….The policy has come under fire from just about everywhere….Parading the Homeland Security Sec before the camera’s did more harm then good….
He STILL wants to cut the number of immigrants illegal and legal from coming into the country…..He is leaning on Congress to take the lead on this , but THAT is proving to be impossible with the difference of views within his own party and with Democrats…
There is gonna to be a issue with keeping the families together since *the law requires children to released from dentition within a short period of time…..
America could still be warehousing tens of thousands of hunan being’s in interment camp’s….
President Trump went from defending the separation of families at the border to saying Wednesday he’ll be “signing something” to stop his own administration’s heartless policy.
Trump said during a meeting with GOP lawmakers at the White House that he will be taking “preemptive” actions as national outrage continues to grow.
“I’ll be signing something in a little while that’s going to do that,” Trump said. “I’ll be doing something that’s somewhat preemptive and ultimately will be matched by legislation I’m sure.”
Homeland Security officials had already begun drafting an order to end the practice, according to earlier reports Wednesday.
Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen was en route to the White House to discuss the order with the President’s team, according to The Associated Press.
Asked about the possibility of an executive order on immigration, White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders told reporters: “We’ll keep you posted. When we have an announcement to make, we’ll make it.”
The Trump administration instituted a “zero tolerance” policy regarding illegal border crossings in April, leading to nearly 3,000 children being torn from their families and placed in detention centers and temporary camps in Texas and other states.
The hardline Trump policy has drawn heated criticism as reports about the conditions at the camps became public in recent days.
Shocking audio clips of children crying out for their parents and pictures of kids in chain-link cages have sparked heated backlash against the practice and has led to calls for Nielsen to resign.
Trump has falsely blamed Democrats for his own administration’s hardline policy and has so far booted the issue to Congress, calling on GOP lawmakers to pass an immigration bill that both funds his long-sought border wall and ends the separation of families.
The President again cast the issue as a partisan political fight on Twitter early Wednesday, vowing that he was “working on something.”….
Note….
*The Flores decent decree….
In January 1997, during the administration of President Bill Clinton, the parties agreed to a consent decree regarding detention standards for the children and in which the government agreed keep children in the least restrictive setting possible and to ensure the prompt release of children from immigration detention.[1]:1650 The settlement is officially called the Flores v. Reno Settlement Agreement, [11] and officially abbreviated as the Flores Agreement.[11] It is also unofficially referred to as the Flores Settlement and as the Flores v. Reno Agreement.[12][13][14]
The Flores Agreement set national policy for the detention, release and treatment of minors in the custody of the Immigration and Naturalization Service.[14] According to the legal nonprofit Human Rights First, the Agreement “imposed several obligations on the immigration authorities, which fall into three broad categories”:
The Flores Agreement “set standards for the detention of minors by prioritizing them for release to the custody of their families and requiring those in federal custody to be placed in the least restrictive environment possible,” according to NBC News in 2018.[16] The Agreement required immigration officials to provide detained minors with….

The issue is NOT gonna get much better if the Zero-Tolerance policy continues…..
We’ll see how this plays out….

Over 60% of American’s are AGAINST the policy and the numbers are INCREASING….
Trump is trying to salvage some sort support with the rightwingnuts by keeping the zero-tolerance policy….
But the Flores decent decree means children should NOT be held for more than 20 days or so…
So you can bet that this IS going to court if one kid is held in detention past 20 days…
Also?
Look for more images of people in chain link detention camps
THAT is something Trump and the GOPer’s WILL have issues with…

Trump has signed the executive order stopping the family separation policy
The zero tolerance policy remains in effect

In the usual topsy-turvy way, this may very well be used in a future Twitterverse to reinforce Trump’s campaign against Jeff Sesssions, whom he still hasn’t forgiven for recusing himself from Russiagate, in the same way that he tries to use James Comey’s objectively-anti-Clinton actions in 2016 to justify firing him.

Oh, for sure
But as I posted here recently
Sessions IS still carrying the water for the rightwingnuts
