So, Senator Mark Warner might have gotten a little in his cups and spoken slightly out of turn last night at a fundraiser, prompting the NY Time’s Ken Vogel to tweet this:
If you can afford a big donation to the @DSCC, you can get an insider tease of what’s coming in the TRUMP-RUSSIA probes from Senate Intel ranking Dem @MarkWarner: “If you think you’ve seen wild stuff so far, buckle up. It’s going to be a wild couple of months.” via @playbookplus

Phillip Lacovara, a well known and respected Democratic attorney, echoed a point I made here about a month ago in an op ed the other day.
It’s time to wrap this thing up.
Whatever Muellers “got” on Trump it’s time to show his cards.
This “interview” with Trump is not as big a deal as it is being portrayed in his view with which I concur.
Muellers numbers have been dropping.
The public doesn’t like these interminable investigations.
Neither do I.

I really don’t think Mueller cares one way or the other about public opinion.
As far as length of time, how long were the Watergate or Starr investigations.
I think the volume of information and the fact that it involves foreign collusion complicates the time table.

“Keith2018” has to be a different Keith, since there’s really nothing said there that I disagree with and there was nothing Trumpian or otherwise nasty in it rhetorically.
If someone new has decided to comment here, that’s good news!

Agree with ya Keith on Mueller
The guy seems to come in a do his job
It’s gotta give Trump heartburn in the middle of the night when things are quiet
I HAVE said that Mueller’s throwdown WILL create a shit storm…
CG says
I think Mueller is being fair and thorough.
Whatever he eventually says though in the report is unlikely to move many political needles.
Those who hate Trump will still hate him and those who love him will still love him and a lot of other people will only care about the Dow Jones Average or their other self-interest.

Mueller is NOT working a political investigation….
He is pursuing a Criminal Investigation….
Democratic Socialist Dave says
If this were a regular FBI investigation (while Robert Mueller was Director) of some complex organized-crime or white-collar conspiracy, pattern of criminality. RICO violation or espionage, then it might well take several years and slowly, gradually draw in more and more witnesses.
And tight lips are essential to such investigations; the first couple of rounds of penetrating, prosecuting and breaking up organized crime in Boston were fatally compromised by leaks to the wrong people at the wrong time. The cases of Aldrich Ames and Robert Hanssen took years to come to public light.
Knowing so little is frustrating to everyone else — especially since a political case like this always carries the theoretical danger that someone’s trying to justify the investigation by spinning minimal, or even innocent, behavior into a witch-hunt for political ends. But if that’s not the case, then the Special Counsel and his staff should work as long and as thoroughly as needed.
