Little by little it seems that Democrats could start thinking that November’s election might allow them a decent chance to get a US Senate majority along with the expected US House one….
Oh, and Donald Trump IS coming out more and more as lead weight for some Republican candiates (with ALL voters, not the GOP party ones) in parts of the country where he actually won by double digits just a year and ahalf ago…
The GOP has two U.S. Senate seats at risk this election and Arizona’s Senate seat is one of those two. Democrat front-runner, Kyrsten Sinema, has little to no opposition while the GOP currently has a three-way primary between heavy-hitters Dr. Kelli Ward, former Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, and Congresswoman Martha McSally.
Arizona’s OH Predictive Insights and ABC15 Arizona (OHPI/ABC15) teamed up to find out who is winning and why.
“The issue we are consistently seeing in the numbers is that Democrats are unified, Republicans are less united, and the all-important Independent voters are trending anti-Republican/Trump” said Mike Noble, managing partner and chief pollster at OH Predictive Insights, a Phoenix-based leading behavioral research polling company. “The factors to look for will be if there are enough voters that do not view Trump favorably that still vote the Republican party and whether or not the winning GOP primary candidate tries to or is able to create a distinct identity.”….

AZ-Sen: Two polls paint different pictures of the GOP primary. A Magellan Strategies (R) poll shows Rep. Martha McSally (R), by far the stronger general election candidate for the seat, leading the primary against ex-State Sen. Kelli Ward (R) and ex-Maricopa Sheriff Joe Arpaio (R). McSally takes 36% to Arpaio’s 26% and Ward’s 25%. Conversely, OHPI for KNXV-TV has Ward leading 36-27 over McSally, with Arpaio at 22. The winner will face Rep. Kyrsten Sinema (D)……
