Some are turning their backs on mentioning , or even being seen with their party leader before the upcoming Midterm elections….

“One of the findings that longtime Trump pollster Tony Fabrizio shared suggested that Republican voters weren’t all that enthused about upcoming midterm elections in which Trump isn’t on the ballot — a conclusion reflected in public polling as well.”
“An election that Trump voters sit out would be a debacle for Republicans, jeopardizing the party’s thin majorities in the House and Senate.”

Trump to travel for embattled Republicans in last 30 days of midterms
The president, speaking to GOP lawmakers in the Rose Garden, said he plans to campaign for them across the country in the final sprint ahead of the midterms.
“We’re going to take that final 30 days, you don’t want to go too much before that because people forget,” the president said, adding that he will rely on Speaker Mike Johnson to supply names where the Republican is tied, losing or winning by a small margin.
“It’s all about 35 races,” he said. “If you’re leading by 40 points and you’ve been there for 25 years … please don’t ask me to come to your area and make a speech.”
“I’m going to go to every one of those 35 places and we’re going to see if we can get everyone elected,” he added.
Trump specifically called out Sen. Dan Sullivan, who is running for reelection in Alaska, and Attorney General Ken Paxton, running for Senate in Texas, as places he plans to stump. Trump won both states in 2024 by double digits. That he is needed there now to bolster Senate candidates underscores the political peril confronting the GOP as it faces the electorate in two months.
Trump’s commitment is a welcome sign for Republicans eager to have the party’s best messenger try to juice the base. It comes just ahead of a rare midterm convention that the party is hosting next week in Texas and where Trump is scheduled to provide the keynote address.
But in sign of limited enthusiasm for the event, a POLITICO survey of more than 70 GOP candidates and members revealed that most either do not plan to attend or are still weighing whether to go. Dozens more declined to share their plans….
