Folks?
Donald J. Tump just Blinked….
Turns out that he HAS known that Iran is making money ($2 Million a ship?) allowing ships safe passage thru then Strait all along ….
Pressure IS mounting on Trump with American gas prices at $6 a gallon right now, which isn’t helping Trump’s polling numbers, his ‘Party’ people for November’s Midterms….
Now we wait….
Will Iran allow US ‘guided’ ships passage without paying them the ‘protection fee’?
Will Trump impose his won ‘protection fee’?
Regime Change, Uranium and Iran Missile issue’s seem to have fallen into the background?
The Strait open make’s Iran money….
And ?
The Strait open should actually cancel Trump’s show of force against Iran which IS still motoring along….
BUT?
One would NOT be surprised if?
Israel is NOT gonna let Trump walk away from Iran without trying to do the Gaza and Lebanon ‘scortched earth’ thing against Iran , even at the risk of its own citizens…
President Trump said on Sunday that the United States would launch a new effort to help guide stranded ships out of the Strait of Hormuz, which Iran has effectively closed.
Mr. Trump said the initiative, called Project Freedom, would begin on Monday morning “Middle East time,” after his administration heard from nations seeking help freeing their ships. He warned that any interference in the program would be dealt with “forcefully,” but offered few details about how it would work.
“These are Ships from areas of the World that are not in any way involved with that which is currently taking place in the Middle East,” Mr. Trump said in a lengthy social media post.
Mr. Trump’s announcement was essentially a challenge to Iran, and a bet that it would not want to take the risk of firing the first shots — or laying mines — in a challenge to the U.S. Navy. He said nothing about lifting the American blockade on all shipping in and out of Iranian ports.
If the move works, it could flip the script on the current dual blockades — one run by the Iranians, the other by the United States. But it could also lead to a breach in the current cease-fire if Iran sought to try to intercept shipping or challenge the American effort.
Mr. Trump did not make clear in his post what it meant for the United States to “guide” ships and how that differed from escorting them.
Initial reaction from Iran on Sunday was muted. A spokesman for the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps, Sardar Hossein Mohibi, was quoted by state media as saying that the armed forces had the “operational capacity and military equipment” needed to prevail, couching the response in a traditional Shiite Muslim framework that divine power would assure that the Iranian military could vanquish a larger force.
IRIB, the state-run broadcaster, characterized the announcement as part of “Trump’s delirium,” while several news agencies carried only a summary of the threat.
Ebrahim Azizi, the head of the national security commission of the Iranian Parliament, posted his response on social media, writing “Warning” in capital letters and saying, “Any American interference in the new maritime regime of the Strait of Hormuz will be considered a violation of the ceasefire.”…..

Trump Reality Check on a War/Conflict with an opponent that HAS out manuevered him so far….
Two months into the war in Iran, President Trump is confronting the complicated reality of a conflict that has proved costly, deeply unpopular and lacks a clear endgame.
Energy markets are in turmoil. The Pentagon has given its first public estimate of the war’s cost: $25 billion so far. Key Republicans in Congress are growing impatient. And Mr. Trump is lashing out at foreign allies, like Germany, who have shown no interest in joining the fight.
Speaking to a crowd of supporters on Friday, Mr. Trump insisted he had no regrets.
“I did something that was, I don’t know, foolish, brave, but it was smart,” Mr. Trump said at The Villages, a retirement community in a solidly Republican area. “I would do it again.”
Still, Mr. Trump’s predictions of a relatively short-term conflict with minimal economic consequences appear to be crumbling around him….
…
The United States and Israel have taken out military targets and killed senior Iranian leaders — including the Supreme leader — but the government there remains intact and able to inflict pain on the United States.
As the conflict continues, Mr. Trump has encouraged Americans to keep things “in perspective,” citing the long wars in Vietnam and Iraq to suggest that U.S. involvement in Iran is “not very long at all.”
Just three weeks ago, Mr. Trump said Iran had agreed to all of his demands and he suggested a breakthrough was near. Iran would work with the United States to remove its enriched uranium, energy prices would drop and a growing global crisis with potential severe political ramifications would subside.
None of that happened….

ISW…Iran Update Special Report, May 3, 2026
- Iran’s counterproposal to the United States reportedly includes a three-phase plan that seeks to quickly end the war, guarantee no future combined force strikes on Iran, and address the Strait of Hormuz in the first phase, while delaying talks on Iran’s nuclear program to a second phase.
- Iran appears to be offering the possibility of discussing nuclear issues at a later date in order to push the United States to end the war and lift its naval blockade. Iran reportedly offered to discuss various options for pausing uranium enrichment, transferring or diluting its highly enriched uranium (HEU) stockpile, and other nuclear-related issues in the second phase of its proposal. Iran does not appear to have made any firm commitments to make concessions regarding its nuclear program in its latest proposal, however.
- The United States has reportedly responded to Iran’s counterproposal, according to Iranian Foreign Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Esmail Baghaei. US President Donald Trump previously stated on May 1 that he was “not satisfied” with the Iranian proposal.
Note…
Playing in the background is the Republican US Senator’s who are NOT happy with the ‘War’, the money spend from it, the money Trump wants for the ‘Defense Dept’ going ahead and the guy leading the ‘Defense Dept’ that ain’t showing them respect ….
