And it’s not gonna be easy since the Trump admin has worked on getting rid of ‘experts’ that don’t embrace their political views…
The CDC’s mobilization also includes sending personnel to respond to the outbreak.
The CDC is “identifying deployers” to travel early this week, Satish K. Pillai, the agency’s Ebola response incident manager, said in a briefing Sunday. “We’re actively moving to get people into the field.” It was unclear whether they would be traveling from the CDC office in Congo, which has about 30 personnel, or headquarters in Atlanta.
Earlier Sunday, the WHO declared the outbreak a public health emergency of international concern but said it did not yet meet the criteria for a pandemic emergency.
In the briefing, Pillai declined to comment on whether Americans had been exposed to the disease. Travelers leaving Congo and Uganda are being screened, he said, and he was unaware of any infected people boarding international flights….
